Regan's movements are fast, but they seem... heavier. She's used to a swinging around something heavier than a wooden sword. Her second opponent tries to use heavy strikes to try and break her guard, but finds it futile. On the last hit, she changes her strategy, trying to beat Regan with speed, and manages to slip past her defenses, nicking her. "Tch." Regan calls herself on the hit. "Congratulations, Yumi-chan. You struck my side." She rolls her shoulders, frowning thoughtfully. It was 3-1 right now, which means the four remaining just needed four more hits on her. It was too early to let herself get hit any more... more than that, if she was letting herself get here, then how would she fair against an opponent that wants more than just her place as Captain? "But can you hit me again?" She changes her stance just a little, shifting her weight lower. She has to remember she's wielding something light, made of wood, not metal. And so was Yumi, and the rest of them. She didn't need to dedicate so much strength to blocking. The next hit goes quickly, in Regan's favor, and the next. She stepped up her game. Two down, and she'd been hit once. Four hits over the next three opponents... and she couldn't be sure how their skill compared between them. Before her match with her next opponent began, she spotted Sayuri enter the club room. She smiled softly to her and nodded her head in greeting, but she couldn't turn her attention away from her opponent for too long. Three more, before she could greet their new member properly. The next match passed without a hit against Regan, but the fourth challenger landed two, leaving the final challenger with only two hits to land against her. These successive matches were wearing her down, though her endurance was something to be admired. Two hits pass in Regan's favor before they land a hit on each other. The student chosen to judge the matches calls it a tie, awarding each a point. The pressure was on, now. She had two points to score and no room to get hit again, it was all or nothing. Regan's stance changes again, this stance leaving her open but ready to strike quickly. Her opponent was too eager to exploit the opening, and found herself hit before she could go through with her swing. One more point, and another change in stance. This one seemed defensive. Trying to bait the girl with the same plan wouldn't work twice, she knew better. She parries the others offensive for a good while, waiting, biding her time. She had to be patient. At last, the overhead strike she'd been looking for. One hand drops from her sword to allow her to catch the wooden sword on the hilt. She deflects it aside with a flick of her wrist and brings her shinai back in the same motion, returning the hand to the sword and scoring her final point with a disarm. "Victory is mine. You all fought well." With that, she stands straight and bows to her opponent. "Now, I'd like to begin discussing what we're going to do for our recruitment fair. The five of you, begin polling our members while I greet our newest." With that, Regan walked over to Sayuri, smiling warmly. "Hello, there. Hiryuu Regan, Captain. Glad to see you here."
