With the crews meeting up, teams getting used to their rookies and their experienced partners sharing their opinions at Round 1, Nora Kelly emerged as the most promising rookie, immediately challenging the biggest team, Silver Apex, and their hold on the sport, while the other rookies struggle. Round 2 in Cape Town saw a massive crash between Beatrix Ward and Kais Zenix, two new rookies, and the fight between Southern Cross and Silver Apex began. Drama in the background in Valkyrie's management, Zygon demanding performance and the increasing fame of Bea Ward start to emerge. Round 3 in Tokyo, Japan put pilots in a neon-filled nightscape, with Kais Zenix coming out on top despite the ship being less suited to the track, and Beatrix Ward emerging in her first points scoring position. A pilot mingle at a sponsor event started to explore the interconnections and networks between the rookies and old guard. Round 4 at Marmolada, Italy, pilots were put to the test on a snowy, glacier-filled series of Alpine mountains. Nora Kelly took her first win on the scenic circuit, Kais Zenix and Al-Saqr start to explore new neural link possibilities, and tensions start to boil at Zygon. Round 5 in Portimao, Portugal began with Amy Stirling stalling on the grid, before charging through to get her position back, and Cassie Neves, the long-suffering new hire at Zygon, got her first podium for the team, alongside Paul Mulder of Valkyrie Racing. Round 6 took place at Mare Austral, on the Lunar surface. A dramatic race off-world got even more intense when Nora Kelly and Ava Villarosa collided, a critical incident that maimed Nora and damaged Ava's prosthetics. Round 7 in Monaco came with a duel between the veteran Dorian Hornfleur and reigning champ Amy Stirling, creating a feel-good moment of the former's final win at the Monegasque circuit. The pilots met again at the ultra-exclusive Casino de Monte-Carlo, and the slightly more casual yacht parties in the Monaco Harbour. Round 8 in Silverstone introduced a festival experience, and the pilots approaching their new found-fame. Kais Zenix won a hard fought race, knocking Amy Stirling off her home turf's perch, and Bea Ward put on an outstanding performance to charge at the end of the race to continue the underdog Carrera's charge to the top. Round 9 in Canada saw Amy crashing out after a duel with Paul Mulder, who took his first victory on the handling-focussed circuit, and a litany of other crashes affecting proceedings, including Zygon being disqualified. Mysteriously, off-camera Layla suffered a brain haemorage due to intense neural link use. NOVA Racing replaced Fitzroy Orbital Racing, Jen Lowry's impressive performances earned her a replacement of Jamie Hart's awful performances in Silver Apex, and Valkyrie started a hunt for a new pilot to replace the retiring Dorian. Round 10 kicked off in Belgium with a bang, with a fight for the ages between Bea and Paul over 1st, with Amy falling away from pole position. With Florence Mason back on the scene and Ben Hale joining Nova, Max Wedgewood signed a contract at Valkyrie for next year, Bea signed a new contract with Carrera Condor for the foreseeable future, it's all going off. The Mulder Charity Gala brings all the grid to a cause close to Paul's heart. Round 11, whilst uneventful threw the pilots in with the new (and one veteran) pilots of the grid in a Q+A session- the race having Cassie Neves taking a dominant win. Enjoying the Green Hell, pilots enjoyed the long, streaming circuit that ultimately, led to a relatively unchanged race. Round 12 threw the team around the exciting replacement for Rwanda: the paradise island of Moa Tempesta, with Dorian Hornfleur's expertise at the circuit shining through and giving him first. The entire crew enjoyed New Hilo, despite failing to learn how to surf (bar Harrison). Round 13 brought the teams to Singapore, an opposite to the volcanic highs of Hawaii. A tense Amy reveals interference in her neural link- and still qualifies first, although loses out in a tense race as Paul Mulder cuts above the rest with a high-stakes overtake on Nora Kelly in the closing laps. Round 14 brings the teams to Argentina, where the relationship between Ava Villarosa and Beatrix Ward hits breaking point as they collide in the lead of the race- gifting a victory to Jen Lowry and a full blown riot to the entire grid needing to escape the city.
