Well, it's due to swelling-which presses on the nerves and such which causes the pain. Basically, treatment options are rest, splinting (to reduce movement-of you can't get to a doctor any time soon, I suggest getting a wrist brace), cortisone injections and in some cases it's necessary to do surgery

What type of pain killers are you using? Regular paracetamol won't cut it
