What's your name?: Jayce Darkfyre How old are you?: 23 Where do you come from? Boy or girl?: Jayce is a human male from Nar Shaddaa. What do you look like?: Jayce is an imposing figure, for a human, standing at six foot two, and weighing 190 lbs. He has fair skin and medium length auburn hair, accompanied by pale green eyes, and an often stoic expression. Considered handsome by many, he often uses this to his advantage in his missions, be it extracting information, or negotiating. Jayce wears a dark brown variant of the traditional Jedi apparel, the only unique thing being that he keeps his mother's old pendant in his utility belt as a secret keepsake. Under his robes, he has a rather large scar over his shoulder blades from a mission when he was a padawan in which he was captured and tortured for information. Tell us about yourself: Jayce is a young, but well respected Jedi Knight in the Jedi Order, known for his skill with a lightsabre and daring tactics. Though as a Padawan learner he was very impatient, and often impulsive and rash to a fault, he has gotten better at slowing down to think about the situation, and has a better understanding that sometimes patience pays off. A natural leader, Jayce is extremely loyal, and will go to any lengths to protect others, or help people in need, regardless of the situation. Though still rather emotional for a Jedi, he leads by example, and always manages to back up his words with action, if he makes a promise, he does everything in his power to keep it, because that's what he wants from others. An extremely skilled swordsman, Jayce devotes himself to Form V, a skilled practitioner of both Djem So and Shien, in battle he is a force to be reckoned with, using his strength and size to his advantage as he pummels his opponents into submission. Outside of this, Jayce has recently become a master to a young padawan learner, whom he has vowed to protect no matter what. As a mentor Jayce is tough, but fair, even though he sometimes contradicts his own teachings with his rash actions, he has developed a strong bond with his padawan, and they have become a formidable duo. Being raised on one of the most dangerous planets in the galaxy, and being brought to the Jedi temple later than most others, he has always been rather unique as far as personality goes amongst his peers, having a hard time adjusting to The Jedi lifestyle, even though it was the only life he was able to lead after his parents died. He secretly disagrees with some of The Jedi Code, and thinks that The Order in general follows it too literally, He believes that The Jedi, and The Galaxy as a whole have changed greatly since The Code's creation, and it is now outdated, though he hasn't voiced these thoughts to anyone outside of his former master. What's your story?: Jayce was born on Nar Shaddaa to a smuggler and his wife, where he went unnoticed by the Jedi Order until he was 7 years old, when a member of the Jedi Order and his apprentice came to Nar Shaddaa to investigate allegations of treason against a local politician. In the events that followed, Jayce's parents ended up involved with The Jedi, and agreed to help hide them from the local crime lords while they completed their investigation. Unfortunately his parents were killed in a firefight while protecting him, and he was eventually taken back to The Jedi Temple on Coruscant to be trained, after the Jedi discovered him to have a strong connection to The Force and also feeling responsible for what had happened to his parents, even though he was initially against the idea, as he blamed not only himself, but also The Jedi who had been unable to protect his parents. Eventually, however, he realized that he had few other options, and decided to dedicate his life to becoming a powerful and wise Jedi, someone who could protect others, so that people wouldn't have to go through what happened to him. Eventually he became apprenticed to a promising and kind Jedi Knight named Liam Traylan, who he would remain close friends with, even years after his apprenticeship ended and he became a Jedi Knight himself. They went on countless adventures together, and saw much of the galaxy, all while helping as many people as they could, and fighting many battles. and though he was not always an obedient student, and they disagreed on things more often than they agreed on them, they eventually developed a very close bond, and became one of the most promising duos The Jedi Order had produced in recent times. When Jayce was eventually instructed to teach his own Padawan, he hoped only that he could be half as good of a teacher as Liam was to him, and vowed that he would not mess up the responsibility that had been given to him by The Order. When Liam went missing while investigating the Ancient Ruins on a newly discovered planet in Wild Space, Jayce demanded that The Council allow him to go and search for him, to which they eventually agreed to, forming a team of Jedi in order to go learn the truth behind Liam's disappearance. Anything extra that you want to tell us?: Jayce wields a single blue lightsabre, and is very street smart, due to being raised on Nar Shaddaa, he knows his way around some of the most dangerous planets in The galaxy, and has come out mostly unscathed.
