EDIT: I'm just going to wait until HIdarii and Unknown have worked out a compromise that works for both of them, and go from there when crafting my angel.

What I said a minute ago was that, whatever else is changed, I support the angels having a preternatural immunty to disease and poison, ala Gabe's "Immunity" power. I'd remove the spell resistance, but otherwise, I think their not being affected by "earthly" afflictions, combined with their extreme longevity, is quite enougn for angels to be considered "divine". No need for iron skin and super-strength and all that.

The example I used was angelic healers descending during huge plagues, healing the sick without catching the plague themselves (and thus adding to the angel myth).
