I just thought it'd be funny to have a plot that would confuse the real life people even more...not knowing what is going on, then finding out that they're supposed to have amnesia as the main of a game they were playing just moments ago in the real world. The whole 'hated by all the characters initially' thing can be introduced into any plot or genre...
