Lt. Gillmore wordlessly heard out the rant, not backing away or getting angry. Blinky hid behind her, but as Victor proverbially tore her a new one, she just began looking... Sad.

	As she looked down at him toward the end, however, she began to smile, with a twinkle in her eyes. "I think I like you, after all." She looked to the others, "I'm going to like working with you guys! Who needs pointers?" As though this person was allergic to being predictable, she began acting more like someone who was sincerely invested in their learning (but still very weird).

	Blinky also seemed to make himself useful, playing back stances and performances (from his eye, of course) like a training video, without mocking them.

	At the end of the day, she gave those three in particular passing grades on the initial training, thus they were invited back for further training (others were not invited back due to poor test scores, or lack of aptitude for equipment use, especially controlling the proton blast, and a single candidate who fled the building when Blinky first showed up).

	"I hope you guys are excited; tomorrow I'll be taking you on a ride-along into the field!"
