A gentle smile played at the corners of Nathaniel’s mouth as Sya, with her serpentine grace, instructed them to eat. Just as he was about to mention that he had already dined, Sya turned, gliding away to attend to another matter, the shimmering scales of her skin catching the glow of the candles that lit the tavern. He absentmindedly scratched the back of his head, pondering how he would acclimate to Sya's unusual appearance. Throughout his studies as a Sage, he had never encountered anyone transformed into a Blight-born, making his time in Dawnhaven thrilling yet bewildering.

His gaze shifted back to Nesna, whose eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as she spoke about her aspirations to become a Sage. Nathaniel opened his mouth, ready to clarify that age wasn’t a barrier in pursuing such a path, though it wasn’t entirely untrue either. Just then, Nesna inquired about his nightly habits. 

[colour=#C0C0C0]“There have been a few occasions,”[/colour] he mused, his voice smooth and thoughtful. [colour=#C0C0C0]“Some nights, though, I find myself so engrossed in books and research that I inevitably drift off at my desk.”[/colour] His brow furrowed slightly at the memory, a chuckle bubbling up as he recalled a fellow Sage from Aurelia. That poor soul had awakened to find himself the target of playful mischief as people had adorned their face with a comically drawn moustache and other silly doodles.

[colour=#C0C0C0]“When I awake, I often find myself waking with a piece of parchment stuck to my cheek,”[/colour] Nathaniel admitted, a roguish smirk tugging at his lips.[colour=#C0C0C0]"Even when I'm asleep in my bed, I often cannot sleep due to an idea that strikes me in the middle of the night."[/colour] 

Feeling time pressing on and urging him to start his day he politely asks, [colour=#C0C0C0]“Is there anything else you wish to discuss? I need to make my way to the Alchemy chambers to greet the other Sages.”[/colour]
