Most did not even seem to register the dark magical girl despite the fact she was amongst the least stealthy of the Detention Club's members, right up there with Nyxia. As such, her claws sunk into yet another group of creatures, sweeping them away as though they were nothing more than refuse standing in front of a tidal wave. Frankly, it bored Hotaru. The satisfaction of squashing bug-level threats was best experienced by a child ripping off the parts of an insect. Not someone who braved countless battles. "Y'know... this is too easy. That asshole is making it too easy. Not only is she a who-" "You don't know that!" Sylvia's interruption almost made Shatterscape's body stumble, but the warrior recovered with a slight flinch. "I know what they did, but it doesn't mean every light girl is bad." "Are you also buying into Ember's bullshit?" Hotaru put too much power into one of their swipes and the claws rent the ground apart. Cracks spread along the concrete as pieces of it flew by the body's head, scattering to the winds, as well as giving birth to yet another urban legend within Hibusa Town. "Not a single one of them is different. They're all rotten to the core! I bet we're the real magical girls and they're the ones who have 'dark desires', 'cause it sure as hell was convenient for them to-" "I apologise for interrupting, but we've got company." Ember's eyes narrowed as she swept her awareness across the strange, monkey-like creatures, followed by the two others. "I have never seen these things before." They did not seem, nor did they feel like Miseria. Far too little malice resided inside them to be as such, in fact, they seemed downright pleasant compared to the creatures they usually fought as far as the magic inside of them went. Which was not saying much in the end, but it had to count. "They are magical... please be careful, all right? I haven't seen them either." Syliva frowned her brows as she focused on them with all of her senses, tracking their movements as best as she could. At least they did not seem to be hostile to Shatterscape's body. In fact, they even helped her cull the hordes she fought against, not that she needed much assistance with that. But who summoned them? Were there other dark magical girls present besides the Detention Club? Sylvia figured that might be the case, so she started to track where the creatures came from using the network of Shatterscape's bodies, hoping to figure out where they came from. It would take a while without Evil Eye. Speaking of... she was leading them towards the pillar of light. Were they perhaps under attack by a light magical girl? If so, Shatterscape needed to hurry up and throw the intruder out of Hibusa Town. Unfortunately, even her closest Khir was a decent distance away, so she would likely arrive in the middle of the fight. Or its end. Regardless, her comrades needed her help, so Shatterscape swapped her bodies before she blitzed through the streets. "What about those monkeys, Sylvi?" "I don't know yet. Maybe we could ask Kiyo if she saw them appear?" "She could be busy with the light girl." "I'll turn that asshole into toothpaste if she hurt my friends. She shouldn't even be here! She should just fuck off with her sparkly bullshit and go back to the city of light!" Hotaru all but growled as she spoke in their mental space. "You're way too lenient with her. Or them. It doesn't matter." She shook her head in disapproval. Why didn't her so-called comrades, the ones who shared every single one of her memories, realise that they were huge idiots? Of the kind that dwarfed even a colossus. Or a titan. Or any number of things. Because no matter what, light girls were all the same. Maybe she should not even allow Ember and Sylvia to give them that chance. Maybe she could take that burden off their shoulders.
