By 90 AG, the Fire Nation Military marked its Arms Factory in Jang Hui Village. At first t'was a mutual partnership, the symbiosis was there, between the Fishermen & Labormen harmoniously. Over the next 3-years, pollution festered as factory waste destroyed the livelihood of Fishermen, what was once symbiosis of protection & food, grew apart & the spirits departed from Jang Hui.

Tengfei's Family migrated to Ember Island but it wasn't as lumpsum, the cost of living was reasonably high, the salary for a Ferryman wasn't enough. Her Father took many jobs to make a living but even that wasn't enough as the venue thrived in Tourism, her family succumbed to loans & debts over the years. For a time, her Family lived comfortably but all that came crashing.

Tengfei grew up to be a Theatrical Performer, accredited in reciting Love Amongst Dragons, she's part of the group; Hira'a Acting Troupe. At age 14, she's been working for the Troupe for 7-years, her parents were proud & the rest were envious of her credence & beauty. She was the trending it in the Town, however, her father, not so much, he's known as Tengran, the Gambler.

Out of the blue, their home was desecrated, her 3 brothers beaten to a pulp along with their father while their mother, though unscathed, was taking odd jobs. Suffering after one after suffering, her mother's mind was reaching its limit as her mind shattered daily from defilement. Tengfei's closer to her mother, she resonated with her struggles, she could only remedy her broken mind with her artistic flames.

This continued on over the past 7 years while Tengfei was working.

One day, Tengfei was performing & caught the eye of a fat evil noble, who wanted her hand in marriage. The dude is like every other bad uncle in a netorare comic, seeking to possess Tengfei. When she told the news to her family, she ended up dead on the inside, they were ready to sell her, just so they could live comfortably.

Tengfei had no grudge, she actually was reminded of the struggles of her mother, making them not so different.

For the next 3-days, Tengfei lived in agony despite the evil man not making any advances.

However, on the 4th day, the fat bastard was letting it rip, Backstage.

Fortunately, a man of principle saved Tengfei & drove the man away, keeping Tengfei undefiled.

"My sincere apologies, Woman I treat you not as an object yet the paradox of objectification lies in the opportunity of the lesser evil's oversimplification." He was spitting a love soliloquy.

"O' I have longed for you, watched you for the past 3-years but my action pains me, for I'm merely a spectator who watched your [i]life[/i]...it seems that many are smitten by you, very well, carry on, your debt has been paid by a friendly stalker, live your life as is & avoid men who wanted nothing but pleasure." Zouren, a Fire Sage & Noble had been watching Tengfei obsessively for 3-years.

He walked away yet this was the closest he got to the girl, caught in the moment, would this be just a fleeting memory?

The following week, Zouren took a Ferry to Ember Island once more.

"They say you're Tengran the Gambler, our paths has crossed again. I do not see you as a felon, you're merely a man, making ends meet for his family."

Tengran, Tengfei's father shed a tear.

"I am but I was led astray, I couldn't thank you enough, esteemed Fire Sage." He cried.

"This ship is yours to make a living." Zouren gladly gave his fancy ship to Tengran, who was astonished.

"I have known you for a year, Fire Sage, I've been escorting you from place to place yet this is only ever the time, we got to know each other deeply. My wife, Tengmin gives her thanks for the herbs you've given." He cried more.

"Say, Fire Sage, what is your name?"

"Zouren Hiraya, descendant of the Sei'Naka clan." He said.

Tengran's eyes widened.

"The Sei'Naka clan? How gracious! Your clan once aided Avatar Kyoshi!" Tengran held back and apologized.

"I'm sorry, an old peasant like me has no business mentioning the Fire Nation's ancient past, history is to be defined by Firelord Sozin." He apologized.

"Not to me. History shouldn't be erased. It should be cherished." Both man calmed down and had a drink of ginger ale, when Zouren made his stand clear.

"How old are you, Zouren?" He asked.

"16."

"Do you have any natural obligations?"

"No. Why the question? "

"You've given me and my family so much for this past week, please...take my daughter in hand for marriage."

Zouren was shocked.

"You've been watching her for some time now & as a man, I know what it feels like to gaze upon the woman you desire."

Zouren was lost of words, initially, he may have come off as stalkerish because he's been watching Tengfei for the last 3-years but this request was confusing.

"You're a good soul, Zouren. The Spirits see this as no accident." Tengran insisted.

Flashforward, Zouren is with Tengfei & Family, discussing about her eventual betrothal.

"Fei-fei my girl!" Tengran patted Tengfei at the back.

"This lad right here shall be your husband."

"It seems that are paths are binded, love and harmony combine, when our souls entwine, while thy branches mixed with mine and our roots together join.."


The rest of Tengfei's brothers had a mixture of emotions, joy & annoyance.
