Archetype: Teen Hero Name: Elijah “Eli” Reyes Alias: Spellbound Age: 17 Powers/Skills:

Spellcasting: Eli casts magic by speaking his intent aloud. His spells are small scale but powerful… when he’s focused. When his emotions spiral, the magic often misfires or backfires. He must believe what he says, or it fizzles. He can produce short, bursts of electricity to stun or knock back enemies, but it’s hard to aim or regulate.
Levitation: He hasn’t quite gotten the hang of flying yet. He can float or hover. Has no fine control yet. Sometimes crashes.
Mystic Empathy: Eli can feel intense emotions radiating from people around him.
Beginner Spellwork & Ritual Knowledge: Taught by his abuela, Eli knows basic protective magic, spiritual cleansing rituals, and cultural spellwork rooted in Afro-Caribbean tradition.
Weaknesses:

Emotional Instability: Strong feelings = unstable casting. Spells fizzle or overload if he’s not centered.
Vocal Dependency: If he can’t speak, he can’t cast.
Inexperience: He’s smart, but new to the whole magic thing. Easily outmaneuvered in combat or magical mind games.
Magical Fatigue: Overuse leads to headaches, dizziness, nosebleeds—or full-on magical burnout.
Equipment:

Aubela’s enchanted pendant: Contains protective energy and helps him channel spells.
His grimoire: Its a composition notebook where he writes spell notes lol (And doodles, lots of doodles.)
Personality: Earnest, Awkward, Empathetic, Brave, Insecure Appearance: A 17 year old Afro-Latino teen with warm brown skin, coiled black hair in a soft fade, and expressive dark brown eyes. He wears glasses. He always looks like he’s about to say “sorry” or give you a hug. BRIEF Bio: Eli is a gay, Afro-Puerto Rican teen born and raised in Liberty City’s Westport neighborhood. After his father disappeared and his mother struggled with addiction, he was raised by his abuela, a spiritual woman who believed deeply in old-world magic and traditions. One day, after years of bullying, Eli lashed out in fear and accidentally struck a classmate with lightning. Terrified, he told his abuela everything… and she just smiled and said, “Mijo, it’s waking up. Just like I knew it would.” He always idolized superheroes, especially Lady Liberty. so her death really hit him hard. After that, Eli decided to step into the role of hero himself. He not really trained, or confident, but he just may be what Liberty City needs. Storylines:

Learning to control his magic, and learning about where it came from.
