By all accounts, the Titans' primary benefactor was on the up-and-up. Insanely wealthy but with a track record of putting the money to good use, helping the needy, and propping up socially viable causes. His story of when Lilith came to him with what would eventually become the team was vague, but it was always implied to be for the right reason. There was just an absence of something that Robin couldn't shake, a gap in things that didn't fit into the neatly constructed mission statement. Though he'd never said it aloud, Dick had suspected for awhile that the entire reason that Alfred Pennyworth - and it was Alfred, not the other notable guardian in his life - had suggested leaving Blüdhaven and joining Jupiter's band of would-be-heroes was to partially observe whether there were any signs of an ulterior motive. But so far, nothing untoward had made itself apparent. For now, he'd keep silent about it. There was no reason to rock the boat based on mere suspicion, and at the very least, everyone assembled here seemed to be getting on just fine under the billionaire's tutelage. Everyone with one notable exception, Robin noticed, as the figure calling itself Stitch had silently slid into the corner of the room just before the mission had been detailed. Though there was definitely something off-putting about their prescence, Dick knew more than the others that there was a value in solitude - even a strength in being the observer. He couldn't describe why, but he felt kind of sorry for Stitch. Their view of the world was so wholly unknown to the rest of the team, largely because it didn't seem like they were able to fit in. In more than a few ways, Dick could relate to that. "Should he cause the loss of a single life, I will not hesitate to end his." This again? What he couldn't relate to was Troia's continued lack of subtlety towards a more lethal approach. Though it was likely a result of whatever the secretive Amazons had instilled into her through a likely lifelong period of training, the woman who referred to herself as Wonder Girl barely resembled what Robin had remembered of encountering her sister, The Justice League's Wonder Woman, during a brief gathering of the world's greatest heroes for a crisis in Gotham. Some sort of alien invasion involving a starfish - honestly, Dick wasn't sure of the exact details. But the Amazon of that team had exuded a calm, almost radiant quality of tranquility in battle, even when raising the sword to her extraterrestrial enemies. She was the sort of figure that you'd want to follow into Hell just for the privilege. Troia wasn't quite that. In her limited understanding of how society worked beyond the island she'd described, the resident Amazon would often verbally clash with the most pinnacle foundations of it. While she seemed to understand that her occasional declarations of wanting to end the Titans' enemies permanently left the rest of the team in an uncomfortable position, the fact that those thoughts were there at all within Troia was alarming, to say the least. Refusing to kill wasn't just a rule that was meant for people like them - the anonymous cape-wearers who already took the law into their own hands - it was a sacred writ of humanity itself. Even before taking up training with a man who swore to the tenant of mercy towards his enemies, Dick had subconsciously always known that murder was the worst crime imaginable. So to have to work alongside someone who didn't believe that, even for as well-meaning as Robin believed Troia was at heart, was something that he'd have to reckon with sooner or later. Either through Jupiter and Lilith themselves or a more direct confrontation. All that he knew was that if Troia made good on her promise - threats, really - and took a life in the field, not only would Robin be forced to leave the team, but he'd need to figure out the next steps in reigning the Amazon in. It was a possibility that weighed heavily on him, making being able to fully trust her a troubling uncertainty. Still, Robin knew that he didn't have time to voice those particular concerns, either. Cinderblock was actively endangering civilians, and they needed to figure out how he had been able to get to that position in the first place. Truth be told, it hadn't even occurred to Robin that there'd be an explanation worth investigating. He was all too used to the incredibly flawed security protocols at Arkham Asylum, allowing dangerous criminals like The Joker and Killer Croc to roam out of their revolving doors. On some level, he figured that every city had prisons that were just as laughably maintained. It was an error in his thinking that he needed to correct. San Francisco wasn't Gotham. And he wasn't just fighting a tide of corruption and madness anymore. Now there were living rock-men who were out for revenge against him and his team. Robin shook his head as he turned to face Martian, wondering just when his life turned into a wrestling match on steroids. Playfully nudging the green-skinned female in the arm, The Boy Wonder shot her a slight smirk. "C'mon, you heard him. You, me, and the living nightlight are off to the slammer." Turning towards Green Lantern, Robin's smirk faded as he realized how that could've sounded. He and Rayner hadn't quite become close enough friends to be able to make jabs like that towards eachother. "No offense."
