Personally when I'm torn like that, [@Shazamrock], I typically let RP decide. If you're enjoying the dynamic of who you end up with immediately stick with them. 

Last iteration, we ended up working out a plan for North and South to meet in a designated city at a designated time to reorganize. I'm sure that will come up this time too. And there are routes to cut across (i.e. boating across the lake) to aide in rerouting too.
