Valerian had to admit, the park was lovely. Wide open space. Trimmed hedges. Flowerbeds arranged with care, and aesthetic sense. A lake that glistened beneath the morning sun. It wasn’t exactly the royal gardens back home, but it would do.

Aurelia Rose fluttered just ahead of him. She was delighted to be somewhere with flowers.

Then, Valerian saw them. A small flock of Ducklett floating on the surface of the water. The prince narrowed his eyes. They just stared. With blank expressions as if they didn’t have a single thought in their heads.

Aurelia chirped curiously.

[color=pink]“No, we are not catching one. They look like bath toys that gave up on life.”[/color] Responded matter of factly. He turned away only to see a group of Sentret. These were quite weird as the Ducklett. One could even say they were cute in a way. The problem was, Sentret were too… common for his tastes.

Aurelia Rose buzzed again, drifting just slightly in the Sentret’s direction. Valerian immediately raised a hand to halt her. [color=pink]“No, we are not going to introduce ourselves. One of us has to maintain some standards.”[/color] He kept walking. If he was going to find a companion for Aurelia Rose, it had to be something worthy of a prince!
