But when she laughed he mirrored it with a charming little chuckle and a head nod. "Osée Baptiste, and do not worry cherie, I have dealt with far worse hellhole's than this." Oh, how she loved a man with an accent. Swoon. Blair had every intention of continuing the conversation with very obvious flirtations and questions about his accent, but a wheezing laugh stole her attention. "Please. Tell me ya’ fuckin’ jokin’. It can’t be a fuckin’ hellhole." Blair looked over toward the entrance where a raven hair girl looked a little worse for wear. She grimaced watching her wipe snot on her sleeve… and was that in her mouth? Gross. "Unless you consider getting munched on by a cannibal horse fun, then it’s Pee-Wee’s playhouse," she replied with a droll sarcastic tone. "I fucking hate it here, being perfectly honest. But the boys…" She added, turning her attention back to Osée. "Do make up for some of its less than stellar qualities." "The Mamsel here may be in more need of your rarely offered help." He laughed and smiled, looking between both dark haired women. "I am thinking we should be finding at the least a coffee, perhaps something to eat." Without hesitation, Blair slipped her hand under Osée’s elbow and hooked it around his forearm. "Well, luckily for you I know exactly where you can find both of those things." And while she preferred her flirting to be on a one on one basis, she couldn’t very well disregard the exhausted girl either. "You are welcome to join, of course." Let it be known, Blair was and always will be a girl’s girl. But, there was not much in the realm of help she could offer beyond pointing the direction to said coffee or food. It wasn’t long before someone else offered to aid the exasperated girl. Good. Sure, Blair would have whined about it later if Osée left her side to help the other girl, but it was the chivalrous thing to do. She liked chivalry, but mostly when it was directed at herself. She did feel a bit bad for the girl but there really wasn’t much she could do. The whole being helpful a couple times in her life wasn’t an exaggeration. Most of the time she was the one who needed assistance rather than giving it. Still, she would have felt bad, at least a little, for leaving that girl stranded at the entrance, obviously in less than a spectacular state. If she managed to not be entirely enraptured by all the men at the party, Blair would endeavor to check in on her at some point. With a smile, Blair turned her attention back to Osée. She laced her fingers together letting both of her hands rest on his arm. "It’s not far, just inside the Main Hall." She nodded her head toward the building in question as she gently guided him along. They had to do a little side stepping, zigging and zagging through the various groups of campers getting acquainted. She led him up the stairs to the entrance, but waited for him to open the door. She was a lady after all. Once inside, she continued leading him around like a debutante with her escort. They made their way toward the buffet filled with ample food and a coffee bar. "I hope this will suffice, because I am not a good cook," she teased. "I’ll grab us a table." Blair flashed another charming smile before releasing his arm and wandering off to the other side of the cafeteria. She wasn’t a breakfast person, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t flirt and ogle him while he ate. As she scanned the tables she noticed a few others scattered throughout the hall. Blair didn’t have much of an opportunity to make friends before Pandora’s box, and the only one she started to make died. So it wasn’t surprising that there was no one there she felt comfortable enough joining. Maybe Mason, if she wasn’t currently trying to charm someone else. Although the son of Hades was definitely attractive, in a grumpy and brooding sort of way, he looked like he knew how to knock a girl’s socks off. She thought she might have heard about him and Andy being a thing, but she never saw them together. Everyone was fair game until they told her otherwise… And even then? Who knows. Blair slid into a seat at an empty table, but was sure to flash Mason a smile and wiggled her fingers at him in a small wave. Not a moment afterwards as she looked around aimlessly, she was met by Andy’s intense gaze. She leaned back in her chair slightly, with an amused smile, while the daughter of Hecate stabbed her food with her fork with a little more aggression than what would be considered normal. Blair raised her brows and chuckled in amusement. She made sure to look over at Mason one more time, just for funsies, before settling into her seat and waiting for Osée.

[sup] interactions ....|.... osée & rosalia ............... mentions ....|.... mason & andy ............... collabs ....|.... none [/sup]

[sup] #0a6d6b ....|..... outfit .....|..... outside chariselle's cabin [/sup]

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you want me close. Not without its appeal." Sylas grinned and adjusted his hold on her luggage. "Only a crazy man would turn down the prospect of a beautiful neighbor. A gorgeous face is always a wonderful sight to wake up to." Did he specifically mean Chariselle? Yes and no. Being a daughter of Aphrodite, only a blind person would think she wasn’t attractive. Anyone would be lucky to wake up to her, be that as a neighbor or bed companion. But, if he was honest with himself, which he rarely was… The only person he wanted that with was Evelyn. Though he was deep in denial and would never say such things out loud. Connection was weakness and he didn’t have room in his life for that kind of weakness. Disregard him protecting her during the box or his continuous magnetic draw to her. He wasn’t at camp for frivolous romances, and he needed to remind himself of that. Of course, that was all well and good, until Sylas caught a brief glimpse of red out of the corner of his eye. Before he could talk himself out of it, his head had already turned and eyes scanned for the familiar head of crimson hair. She didn’t notice him though. Instead her attention was on an unfamiliar, tall and dark haired fellow, presumably new to camp. For a brief second, his cleverly curated facade fell as he lost himself to a wave of his own emotions. His brows furrowed and jaw clenched. Catching himself, Sylas cleared his throat and shook his head. "Apologies. That guy looked like someone I used to know," he said, playing his slip up off as an old tiff rather than his more pathetic truth. Chariselle studied the map, then pointed to one of the available spots, cabin 8. "This one. This one looks good. And it's to the left, close to yours. How fortuitous for you." She flashed him a smile then started in the direction of her desired home. Sylas adjusted his grip and followed after her. It took all of two seconds before he was getting frustrated with the bags. Rolling luggage and a snowstorm do not mix. The trunks acted more like plows as he walked and after several steps he had to either lift them over the fresh mound or kick the snow out of the way. After a couple times of doing that, he opted to take each of the bags and put the straps over his shoulders and carry the two suitcases rather than roll them. Gods he felt like a chump, carrying an entire department store through the snow. And while it was heavy, awkward and cumbersome, his face never showed his discomfort… or annoyance. "So, anything a new camper should know about things here? I barely heard the introductions, apart from there being a party later. But I bet you know the dirty little secrets. Give a girl an edge?" He puffed up his lips with a quick exhale of air. How the hell did Sylas answer that question? He didn’t really trade much in the realm of secrets. The only secrets he could think of were his own, which he was not privy to divulging. He walked for a minute in thought weighing the varying answers he could give. "I can’t speak much for secrets. In a small camp like this, most things don’t stay secret for long." He squinted his eyes, mentally sifting through the roster of campers. "You don’t seem like someone who peddles in trivial information." Sylas’s pace slowed as toting Chariselle’s luggage took a back seat to the conversation at hand. "I suppose on the base level, you have two siblings. Veronica and Wes. Never talked to her, but Wes… You can’t miss him, one arm, usually hanging around an angry blonde." He found himself drawing a bit of a blank. Camp had been rather dull since the Valises left—Ah, now that’s something. "On the juicier side of things, there was a bit of a love triangle not long ago, with none other than our pseudo-leader Andy." He knew Chariselle didn’t get much of an opportunity to meet others, but Andy introduced herself to everyone which made her an easy target. And, well… Mason could do better. "She was dating this Son of Zeus, Ajax. He was the last, no, two leaders ago. But her best friend is my mate Mason, who always kind of carried a torch for her. It was only when Mason showed interest in someone else that she realized ’Oh, hey, maybe I do like this guy.’ It was a whole thing. Ajax dumped Andy because… Obviously. Ajax’s sister beat the shit out of Andy for breaking her brother’s heart and the two Zeus kids are now living the high life with daddy in Olympus." Sylas shrugged his shoulders. "Last I heard they’re on the fritz. Mason’s a good guy, who honestly deserves more than hanging on Andy’s every whim." His face scrunched slightly while he looked up, trying to think if there was anything else worth sharing. "Oh, Blair fucked the last camp leader, Nick, in the Main Office and half of it was broadcasted over the P.A. system. He died a couple months ago with a few other campers." Sylas looked over at the blonde trying to gauge her face for a reaction to any of the information he shared. By that point they had reached the small intersection where her cabin would be to the left and his to the right. Sylas paused in conversation and stride to point out a couple places to help Chariselle with her bearings. "So to the right there is my cabin, and your brother Wes’s girlfriend’s cabin." He then led them down the little side path. "Last I checked that cabin was empty. That’s Mason’s, Andy’s… And your’s." Sylas climbed the staircase up to the front porch of Cabin 8. "I hate to disappoint, but I don’t know if there’s much else in the realm of useful gossip here. A lot of the problematic demigods, like the Zeus duo," and Liam, "left camp. And you were lucky enough to miss Poseidon’s lovely little trials he put us all through. Unless you fancy being forced to face your worst fears in front of the entire camp and half of Olympus." At the top of the stairs, Sylas set down the two suitcases beside the front door to give his hands a momentary reprieve. "Would you like me to leave these here? Or would you like help inside?" He smirked and raised an inquisitive brow. While Chariselle needed help toting all her bags there, she also seemed like a strong independent woman. He didn’t want to assume she needed the additional assistance, but he’d leave himself available for… Whatever.

[sup] interactions ....|.... chariselle ............... mentions ....|.... evelyn, river, veronica, wes, trinity, andy & mason ............... collabs ....|.... none [/sup]

[sup] #c7b29b ....|..... outfit .....|..... main hall .....|..... rocco [/sup]

Up until 5 minutes prior, Sloane had zero intentions of going to the party. She was content staying in her cabin, reading and snuggling with Rocco. Then, if there were fireworks, stepping outside to watch them. That was a perfectly decent New Year’s in her opinion. She should have just told Ace that, but she didn’t. Knowing someone actually wanted her to go did give her a little more incentive… She wouldn’t admit it, but she was lonely and wanted friends. She didn’t have a clue how to go about making one. The only friendships she had grew to more than that, then ended in heartbreak. It was a cycle she wasn’t keen on repeating. Sloane sighed and looked down at Rocco as they walked. "Do you want to go to the party?" she asked the puppy who jumped and chomped at falling snowflakes. He turned to look at her, barked and wagged his tail. "Well, of course you do. You just want more attention." She smiled, leaning down to pet his side as he leaned against her legs happily. "I’ll think about it… For you," she whispered before placing a kiss on the dog’s head. While they walked past new and old campers making their way back to the Main Hall, they didn’t pay Sloane much attention. She didn’t mind. By that point she was already shivering from her damp skirt and wanted nothing more to get inside and eat something warm. When they reached the Main Hall, Rocco sprinted up the stairs and slipped through a crack in the door just before it closed as someone else left. By the time Sloane got inside she found him sitting patiently in a back corner by the buffet where a bowl of water and kibble was always waiting for them around meal time. She never really understood how camp magic just… knew. But with Liam gone, she was thankful camp, or maybe the Gods, seemed to know that she had the dog to take care of. "Good boy," she whispered down to him as she picked up a bowl in each hand. Sloane nodded her head toward the sitting area and Rocco ran off to their usual table near the large fireplace at the far end of the cafeteria. He sat down patiently, wagging his tail as she slowly followed after him. Sloane set down the bowls on the ground beside the table, near where she normally sat and patted his head. "I’ll be back." Sloane weaved her way through the tables and the handful of campers back to the buffet area. She wasn’t super hungry but always tried her best to have three balanced meals a day. Sometimes it took a lot more effort to be as diligent about her self maintenance, but she tried not to let her mental health weigh too heavily on her physical health. It was hard and took a lot of self discipline, but having to also feed Rocco at least got her out of her cabin and to the hall at meal times. It probably would have been a lot worse without him. With a plate in hand, Sloane grabbed herself some oatmeal, blueberries, and a couple links of sausages. She also made sure to get a giant cup of piping hot coffee. Still shivering, she had to be sure not to fill it too high because the last thing she needed was to spill it all over herself. Burning herself was not the best way to warm up. When she got back to the table, Rocco was still seated where she left him, patiently waiting. "Who’s a good boy?" After Sloane set down her place and mug, she picked up one of her sausages and placed it on top of his food. She rubbed his ears and sat down beside him. "Ok." Having said the release word, Rocco perked up and dove into his food. Where they sat had a nice view out one of the larger windows that faced some of the entrance area and activities field. She sprinkled the blueberries into her oatmeal then started eating as she watched the new faces coming and going.

[sup] interactions ....|.... none ............... mentions ....|.... ace ............... collabs ....|.... none [/sup]
