Instead, as they spoke, she kept her eyes out for fresh meat. Everyone was new here to her. Though, she noted, based on Sylas' words, people would know her as the daughter of Aphrodite. That came with benefits, surely. After all was she not the Goddess of beauty and love? People would be barreling down her door to get to her. And then something else hit her. Something she had not considered. Would she have siblings here? She doubted the goddess of 'getting down' only stopped at one. That meant she had brothers, sisters, and non-binary siblings running amok here. That would not do. It was bad enough she had to compete with some of the hottest people she had ever seen (the children of literal Greek gods!) but her own siblings? Chariselle briefly glanced back at Sylas when she noted his demenour had changed. It was as if the mask he was wearing slipped and she saw the Phantom underneath. The cool, helpful guy she had roped into doing her work for her was not here, replaced with something altogether different. It sent a small chill through her spine. When he regaiend focus again, his facade came back. "Apologies. That guy looked like someone I used to know," Chariselle looked around and spotted two figures walking together. She recognized neither (because she was new here idiots!). Sylas seemed to care though, which meant there was juice here. She made a mental note to check in later. "Oh, no worries sweetie." After asking Sylas for the hot goss at the camp, he took a brief moment. "You don’t seem like someone who peddles in trivial information." Oh sweetheart, if you only knew. she thought to herself. She took a brief glance at her bag, well one of them, knowing the answer to that laid within. But she returned her gaze back to Sylas. "I suppose on the base level, you have two siblings. Veronica and Wes. Never talked to her, but Wes… You can’t miss him, one arm, usually hanging around an angry blonde." Ok, Chariselle figured she'd have siblings. Veronica and Wes. And did he say...one arm? There's a story there for sure. "On the juicier side of things, there was a bit of a love triangle not long ago, with none other than our pseudo-leader Andy." Ok, Andy was the girl she met briefly from before. Apparently she wasn't as straight-laced as Chariselle figured. Love triangles were cute, but come back to her when you were involved in a Love Dodecohedron. "She was dating this Son of Zeus, Ajax. He was the last, no, two leaders ago. But her best friend is my mate Mason, who always kind of carried a torch for her. It was only when Mason showed interest in someone else that she realized ’Oh, hey, maybe I do like this guy.’ It was a whole thing. Ajax dumped Andy because… Obviously. Ajax’s sister beat the shit out of Andy for breaking her brother’s heart and the two Zeus kids are now living the high life with daddy in Olympus. Last I heard they’re on the fritz. Mason’s a good guy, who honestly deserves more than hanging on Andy’s every whim." Damn, Sylas was a gold-mine despite his initial hesitancy. Fights over boys was so high school, but damn if it didn't thrill her. If she could inject that feeling into her veins she'd be hooked day one. "Oh, Blair fucked the last camp leader, Nick, in the Main Office and half of it was broadcasted over the P.A. system. He died a couple months ago with a few other campers." Ok, Blair was someone to get-to-know. Sounded like the two of them would get along swimmingly. They approached the cabin that Chariselle chose for herself and she was...well she was expecting the best but prepared for the worst. The cabin though appeared to have all of the amenities she craved and looked Instagram-worthy, which was how she based a lot of things in life. Satisifed with the outside she walked up the stairs as Sylas impressed upon who her neighbors were. Chariselle filed that information moreso to keep an eye on things. Sylas set her bags down. "I hate to disappoint, but I don’t know if there’s much else in the realm of useful gossip here. A lot of the problematic demigods, like the Zeus duo left camp. And you were lucky enough to miss Poseidon’s lovely little trials he put us all through. Unless you fancy being forced to face your worst fears in front of the entire camp and half of Olympus." "Admittedly, no, I am thankful I missed out on that. Though from the sounds of it there's no lack of fun to be had here. Glad I made it in time for the party." Chariselle took a moment to appreciate her space. The place was beautiful and, from the gossip, not boring. "You have been so helpful Sylas. I think I can take it from here. Wouldn't mind some time to get it in and freshen up before the party, but you must let me make it up to you later. I am sure we can find a way I can help you out, should you need it." The words were tainted in honey, the meaning pretty evident, even for her. She walked over and pressed her lips to his cheek. "Thank you for sharing and helping a girl out. I am sure I will see you later." Chariselle grabbed her bags and walked into her cabin, leaving Sylas to do whatever he wished. She set her bags down after taking a few steps in. The space was the purest definition of cozy. Decorated and filled with things anyone would find comforting, but surely not roughing it. It was perfect. Chariselle grabbed the one carryon bag she needed before she set it on the counter in the kitchen area. She opened it up and took out the tome she carried with her. She set it gently down and placed her hand on the cover. The warm demeanor she carried with Sylas fell quickly as she crakced it open, scourng the many blank pages she had. Oh the wicked whims she had quarreling in her mind. The simple conversation with Sylas opened up many avenues. She took out one of her pens and quickly jotted down some of the names she had heard so far. Andy, Blair, Wes, Veronica, Mason, Sylas. She left it there, excited to see the possibilities before her. She closed the book and put it back in her bag. She took the rest and made her way upstairs and into what she assumed was the master bedroom. She dropped her bags again and flopped on the bed, letting the comfort wash over her. It was busy work, but she was happy to do it. Camp Athens didn't know what it had in store.
