Name: Lucia Felicia Bellecourt. She goes by the second name publicly to avoid confusion with her more famous relative, but prefers to use the first (or variations such as Lucy) with relatives.
Age: 17
Gender: Female

Astonishingly short, topping out at 4’9. She seems happy about it, all things considered, and only slightly put out by being mistaken for someone younger than she is. Not that it's hard to get confused: under the fancy dresses, there's barely anything of her, and she's about as out of shape as you can get. Very easy to pick up and run with if something happens, though. She has a lot of fancy clothes, but sticks to the (relatively) downplayed black ensemble for labyrinth exploration.

Personality: Shy to a worrying degree, which is why she’s been pushed into the Moon Circle Society, and pretty much hopeless at talking to strangers without support. On the plus side, she’s gradually getting better about this! Even if it's rare for her to make it through an entire conversation without trailing off into awkward silence -- it is, in the end, an ongoing process. Beyond the shyness, she really does have an unusually fervent interest in magical theory and the why of how spells work, so it’s not too hard to find something she’s willing to talk about if she's used to you. Or rabbits, she definitely likes rabbits – just not when it comes to talking about eating them, or using them for fur, or… she likes living rabbits. Felicia wouldn’t want to go down into a dangerous labyrinth if it was empty, but, but… look at all the unknown magical things there are too learn! It’s worth it, right? If you can learn or do something new magically, it’s worth the risk, in her mind. She has a bad habit of extending this to trying spells or rituals, since it worked out the first time… Possibly the one exception to her interest in magical theory is why magic comes more naturally to women, due to those researching such things being quite... aggressive in trying to secure co-operation.
Abilities: It would be fair to describe Felicia as a generational talent on a raw magical level, with an aptitude for spellcasting and depth of mana that promises great things... if she didn't have about three years of non-theory magical education under her belt and less than two of actively spellcasting. In terms of actual abilities, Felicia has learned enough evocation to create a familiar -- and only that much evocation as her one dip into the subject -- and a rudimentary introduction to white magic, specifically in terms of applying physical buffs, casting protective spells, and accelerating existing magical healing. The protections are more broadly useful -- the small girl has displayed a good head for casting targeted, specific defences rather than relying on an overwhelmingly powerful total barrier; the buffs and oddly specific healing are things that she learned exclusively for the benefit of her familiar, although there's always a chance that her fellow witches might make use of them.
Skills: Felicia generally lacks skills that would be actively useful when exploring a labyrinth or hunting down a magical murderer except for practice at navigating a library in order to research something. She's got an exceptionally solid mundane education and is well versed in high society manners, she's just too poorly socialised to actively apply the latter. She can also take care of rabbits, which is not something that's often useful.
Equipment: While her equipment is as minimal as any witch might expect, nobody is ever going to say that the quality is poor or the end result prioritises form over function: both wand and broom might be slightly more ornate than really warranted for basic gear, it's not ostentatious. They seem to be very well cared for hand-me-downs, from the wear on them. Of course, it could be said that Felicia's main equipment is actually her familiar, as a familiar is ultimately a low-grade spirit bound into the body of a living animal to derive both its personality and ultimate form, then substantially sustained by the caster's mana. She would be quite upset at treating her best friend/pet/surrogate big sister like a glorified tool, though.
Brief Backstory: Felicia was born to a prestigious, well-storied family: her aunt is none other than the current head of the Moon Circle Society, her mother a high-ranking witch with her own reputation, and while her father lacks much in the way of magical education, he too comes from a strongly magical family and instead enjoys a comfortable position amongst the landed gentry. With such a background, it would be expected that she grew up under the weight of expectation, or pushed to magical excellence... save for the minor quirk of being born, so far as anyone else was concerned, a boy and positioned to inherit from her father and follow him into a life of occasional management and social pursuits. There was still a slight disappointment that her mother didn't have an heir, but there was always the next time... Quite obviously, Felicia didn't take after her father at all, and attached herself at the hip to her mother instead, spending far too much of her childhood surrounded by magic as a consequence and freely looking through resources that were generally only of use to those with magical training: theory texts, research, and such. Amongst her peers, Felicia never really fit in -- not a future witch like those she saw most often, but lacking anything she held in common with the boys. The young girl's closest friend ended up being a rabbit that was destined for some magical ritual or another, the huge, docile bunny being something that she fell in love with at first sight, and something that her parents didn't have the heart to deny given it was at least something to keep her company. The problem she eventually faced was that Juliet was hardly a baby even then and was only growing older. There was magic that could directly address it, no doubt -- her aunt, for one, was centuries old without ageing a day in the meantime -- and perhaps even something available without the magic yourself... which nobody would buy for a pet rabbit, no matter how indulgent. Even if her pedigree granted Felicia some guarantee of magical skill, replicating such a feat was definitely beyond her. But a familiar... familiars were common in all sorts of theory texts, particularly for their use in multi-caster setups, and she knew enough of the details to know it would be a solution. She just had to sneak into areas actually restricted to her, get the books, get the components... Juliet's continued existence attests to Felicia's success, but she got in a lot of trouble -- including from her new familiar -- for not just doing magic without telling anyone, but doing something as risky as spirit summoning. That was the only time Felicia had really acted out, however, and given her lack of friends, she wasn't punished in a way that would have deprived her of Juliet. Adolescence started badly. Very badly, particularly with increased expectations for proper behaviour, going from just shy to practically agoraphobic and notably more disobedient, for no reason that she could ever clearly articulate to her parents, or even clearly herself. It got to the point that the only person she was actually talking with was, unsurprisingly, Juliet, and even then... It was Juliet that went for the drastic approach, picking her creator up and taking the direct route: go to Felicia's aunt and see if she could address whatever was making the girl so miserable. Or at least get it out of her -- while Juliet might have been Felicia's closest confidant, it wasn't quite to the level of hero worship her aunt got. Making sense of Felicia's problems wasn't exactly immediate, but at least the solution -- when presented to such a powerful witch -- was relatively so. Certainly quicker than puberty itself had been, although it took quite a while for Felicia to catch up fully on her manners, not to mention a crash course in the magical education she should have received until then, with the extra wrinkle of her own ability to manipulate mana being initially quite unstable. She took her aunt's name in gratitude for her actions, of course. Unfortunately, these changes had the downside of both inspiring massive society gossip -- something that still hasn't died down in certain quarters -- about how eager the Bellecourt were for a magical heir to do it this way... and making Felicia a magnet for researchers who wanted to know why men and women have different magical talents. Is it physical? Spiritual? Consensus currently suggests that both play a role, but that only made someone like her all the more appealing... Out of concern this would drive Felicia to practically being a recluse again, and still having no friends of a similar age, she was inducted into the Moon Circle Society mostly for the social benefits despite her age and limited skillset -- although Felicia has so far seemed determined to do her best all the same.

Name: Juliet
Age: 15, although she looks like an adult and has for the last 7 years. She could also be considered 7 years old, depending how you want to think about it.
Gender: Female

At 6'4, Juliet is... tall, to say the least, but perhaps this isn't surprising when her original breed is a Refnian Giant and her rabbit form outsizes some small dogs without really trying. Her wardrobe is nothing but variations on the same outfit, tailored perhaps just a little too tight -- at best, with the jacket off, her wiry muscle is easily visible. At worst, she can rip things by flexing too much. Rabbit version:

Personality: Juliet has an extremely bad case of resting bitch face: the familiar almost always defaults to looking stern and displeased, unless she's actually smiling, but when you get to know her, she's an extremely easy-tempered and approachable girl, serving as a bastion of calmness in all but extreme situations, which is particularly useful when Felicia defaults to jittery and easily unsettled. Of course, like anyone, she has her weak spots. For one, she's scared of dogs, despite them not actually presenting a threat to her now, and will comically try to hide behind Felicia if they have to go near one. Secondly, talking about eating rabbits, or, worse, trying to feed her any, is about as big of a faux pas as you would expect. But the most consistent, of course, is that Juliet is enormously protective of her silly mistress. She tries not to be coddling, and is fully on board with all ongoing attempts to make Felicia actually socialise, but actual malice or being too pushy is a good way to get straight onto her bad side. She also doesn't appreciate anything that might make them have to split up, even temporarily. Juliet prefers her humanoid body nowadays, but she's happy to go back to being a rabbit where it's needed, or when it's comforting.
Abilities: Juliet has no specific abilities of her own, per se; she doesn't have anything in the way of spells or independent magic. What she does have is the normal set of familiar talents: she can transform back into her original animal form, without the ravages of age; she can assist Felicia in any rituals that might need a second caster due to absolute mana compatibility; and she has her own slow regenerative ability that her mistress can massively amplify with her magic. She also benefits from exceptional compatibility when it comes to buffing magic – it's essentially no harder for Felicia to cast spells on Juliet than herself, although this is a minor benefit as it isn't that big a challenge.
Skills: While Felicia was off learning how to be a witch, and even somewhat before that when she was expected to merely learn how to manage money, Juliet was being instructed in how to fight. Protecting her mistress has, after all, been her primary duty for her entire sapient existence. Although she has some limited skill with weapons, once Felicia started to focus on enhancement spells, Juliet's attention turned to using her body as a weapon… mostly her legs, given that she still is a rabbit. Her general alertness and senses are also far above her charge's, and she has no difficulty just picking the girl up and running when needed.
Equipment: Although Felicia has flirted with having a custom Witch Arm made, magical enhancement has served to be sufficient so far, and any designs are quite literally still on the drawing board. Some practitioners would say that Juliet is the equipment.
Brief Backstory: See above.
Note: Exclusively refers to Felicia as 'mistress' in public, or Lucy in private. She never calls her Felicia, even indirectly – the closest would be giving the girl's full name.
