Eliot was always someone who could make friends quickly. Bringing laughter always seemed to be the key to making good friends. The mixer was no different. He had approached the event with a straight back and large smile and people reciprocated. Before he knew it, he had a drink in his hands and was telling jokes to a small group of people. He wore his old jeans that had faded after years of washing, a bright shirt of blue, and his green jacket just on top of that. This was his typical style, casual and comfy. Eliot sat squatting in one of the armchairs scattered about the room and was currently in a story about how he had gotten into serious trouble by running a computer chair armrest directly into a wall and made a huge hole. When he was younger he had found a way to spin the chair around at amazing speeds by wrapping string around the bottom and giving it a mighty pull, like trying to start a gas lawnmower. The result was quite fun but rather dangerous. The chair went spinning about before coming to a very sudden stop when it met the wall, burying its armrest deep within. Mid sentence, he flung his hands out as he had done back then but his arm accidentally hit someone who was just trying to walk pass. Eliot whirled around to see Adelia standing there. “Oh shit! I'm so sorry about that!” He hopped out of the armchair before stepping up to Adelia and giving her a look over. He spotted her cup of water and waved at it. “Good thing I missed your drink! That would have been messy.” He held up his own drink in greeting before flashing her a friendly smile. “Eliot McCail at your service, miss! As a way to make up for practically assaulting you with my storytelling, can I get you a drink? Maybe some food?” The people behind him grumbled that he never finished his story and he whirled around with a laugh. “I got my ass beat! What more do you people want?! Are you not entertained!” The small group of people laughed at his antics before he turned back to Adelia with the same goofy smile. “Some people man, you could go around smacking young women and they only want to know the ending of your story.” He quickly chugged the last of his drink before he looked down at it. “Oh, I'm suddenly out of drink. Wanna accompany me to the bar?”
