Sectonia, having not drank all that much by volume and knowing how to handle a hangover, was an early riser as well. Roland however, woke up with a hangover but surprisingly well rested. While Grimm was around to burn away his nightmares, Roland could get some actual sleep instead of being tortured by the various horrors he had seen or caused. That didn't help him having drank too much the previous night through, and with a groan, he got out of bed, got himself ready and made his way to the cafeteria to get some coffee. After breakfast, something Sectonia was huffy about with how it was back to the low quality simple things, everyone got their briefings before handed some gear and pointed out to go to their vehicle. Tying a band to their arms wasn't a problem for Blazermate or Roland, not fully understanding the item. For Sectonia though, she had to find a proper spot to tie hers, eventually wearing it as a belt around her slim midsection. Upon meeting Edward and the others at the Pelican -1, a ship that Sectonia wasn't sure how it would hold all of them without them all squeezing in, it crossed her mind that she was one of the few without any cold gear. While she could use her new fire breath and her red antlers to keep herself warm like she did when scaling that ice mountain, that would still be very annoying regardless. Although she also noticed Edward was wearing a fair amount of new items. One of which was a cold resistance ring? Where did he get that? There wasn't anything in the armory from what she knew like that. "Well, thats a very useful item for where we are going to go. Where did you get that?" Sectonia asked. Edward explained that he made it himself, using the essence of other magic items to craft the ring. Something like this interested Sectonia in more ways than one, but for now a cold ring for herself, as cold outfits for someone of her size would be difficult to acquire, was something she was interested in. She knew that there were some magic items in the Armory that weren't being used, so she decided to head there for a quick look. As Sectonia went to the armory to look for things that could be used to craft a cold resistance piece of jewelry for herself, she'd find that Roland had gone there as well. While Sectonia was grabbing the ice wand Dagon and deciding what second magic item for Edward to craft with, Roland was looking over the items himself and picked up the Greed Shield. Seeing as that was one of the magic items, Scetonia asked him why he was grabbing that one, but what came out of his mouth made way too much sense. "This makes gold, and I need to pay off my bar tab." Sectonia didn't argue that fact at all and let him have it. Roland grabbed the item then left, thinking there were some valuable things there, but decided that a weapon that made money would make him a lot of money with how often he clashed.
Greed Shield: A successful parry with this shield on a melee attack will knock out an enemy’s tooth, turning it to gold. This can only happen once every ten seconds. A successful parry on a small ranged projectile like an arrow will also turn it to gold.
Although as she looked through the rest of the items, only the shield Roland grabbed seemed to be of a strength requirement of magic that would be needed to make her item. So instead she grabbed the leather jerkin that boasted some cold resistance and left the armory. Before she left though, she seemed to gain a new sense for the various ores and crystals in the armory and an appreciation, evaluation, and properties of them. She noted that the Festive Spycicle, the Morkite oil, and the core stone were incredibly valuable and could be used for many things and decided to grab the festive Spycicle to possibly sell later while informing Susie of the latter two as the Avenger often needed funds. While not entirely sure why she could appraise gems and minerals as well as she could, she did emphasis how valuable a few of the items, including the core stone, were to Susie. Noting the Core Stone could focus the power of a star without much issue. What the bot girl did with that information was up to her.
Festive Spycicle: An ice-cold spike wrapped in blinking Christmas lights. Though very strange, it's actually incredibly valuable to anyone with an eye for appraisal. If not for the light on the end it could probably kill someone with a backstab, but it still deals critical damage from behind. If the holder is ignited, it will extinguish the fire at the cost of melting for good.
Heading back to the ship, Sectonia handed Edward the leather jerkin, saying. "Well, I found an item, but that wont be enough for you. Considering how difficult it is to find cold weather clothing for someone of my royal stature, could you trade me that ring? I'll give you a red antler to command and for warmth alongside this item... At least until a time where this ring will not be needed either through finding an item that can replace it, or no longer needing it." Blazermate, being a member of the same group, didn't say much of anything. She didn't need any weather resistance gear as she was more or less immune to the elements, but if she had to heal frostbite, she'd have to heal frostbite.
