She caught the reference. Eliot threw his hands up with a chuckle as she questioned him about the movie quote and he grinned broadly. “Inconceivable! You caught me. It was one of my favorite movies in my teens. That and Sweeney Todd. I know. I know. It's a weird combination but I liked what I liked back then!” When she made a comment about the type of energy he gave off, he laughed loudly. “Are you psychic or what? You got me. A million things going at once. Don't go looking through my tabs! You'll get lost. It's like a labyrinth in there. But I don't have a tendency to, eventually, finish my projects. But you hit it right on the head.” A solemn look crossed his features and he nodded slowly as she told him her major. “That's a really good path. I had to do physical therapy for almost a year after my parents got into a car crash. I can walk again thanks to them.” He patted his right knee, giving that leg a slight wiggle. “Almost lost my leg then but I'm good now! I can even run and jump almost as good as I did back then.” He laughed when she said he was memorable but not in a trying too hard way. “Thanks,” he took another bite of his cookie, chewed, then swallowed before giving the girl a sly grin. “I try. Life's too short to be worried about what people think of ya, ya know?” He took another bite before peering down the table for any kind of beverage. At the end of the table was an ice chest full of drinks dunked into ice cold water. “Ah!” He said as he hurried to the chest and pulled it open. “You want a drink. It's mostly just soda. Do you drink soda?” He pulled out a red can and setting it on the table for a moment, peering back at her as he awaited her response.
