Hello! I’m Kymera! I’ve been on and off the site a couple times over the last few years, gone through two major life upheavals and am back on the RPing bandwagon once again! TTRPGs aren’t scratching the itch anymore, and I want to hide from the real world by writing about a completely made-up one! And while I could do that alone, it’s lonely and boring. So I’ve decided to see who’s eye I might be able to catch with a 1x1 interest check! So to those of you reading this now that haven't run off, a couple disclaimers:
1. Gotta be 21+. Sorry, non-negotiable. There usually ends up being some adult themes and I will not write them out with someone who isn’t an adult themselves. 2. Looking for partners willing to write in the “Advanced” spectrum. The more you give me in a post, the more I can give you back! You don’t need to hand me a novel every time, but I do ask you make sure there’s something for me to work from, and I’ll be sure to give you the same! 3. I like a bit of romance, so long as it develops naturally. Characters that make lovey-dovey eyes at each other at the start irritate me. It’s a good tool to make the plot more meaningful and drive character motivation. This means no smut for smut’s sake, either. Once things have developed properly, then sure, but not before then. 4. I will happily write out the sexy-time scenes. There might be occasions where FTB is acceptable, or even needed for the overall flow of things, but for the most part, I’ll write it out. HOWEVER, SEE RULE 3. 5. I am happy to run M/F or F/F plots, only because I have the most experience with them and feel like I can actually do them justice. 6. I am happy to play either male or female characters. I also don’t mind running several characters at once, and ask you consider being willing to do the same! I also have run a variant in the past where we give one another a character to play in addition to our “main” characters and it was a lot of fun! 7. I like to chat OOC too! I enjoy getting to know people! 8. Last but not least: FEELS. I cannot help it. I want to make stomachs twist into knots and cackle evilly on the other side of the screen. I enjoy writing in a healthy dose of angst, provided it suits the story/character arc. I can’t stand plots that go from one happy event to another and everything is perfect. I’ll be more than happy to write a bit of fluff now and then, but you’d better brace yourself because it means something awful is coming.
Ok, I think that’s it for the little blurb about rules, and a little about myself! I’m an avid roleplayer, both online and IRL. I am a veteran LARPer and have been a part of 3 different games over the years and am working on getting together the cash to buy some land where I can start to bring these fantasy worlds to life. I’ve also run an online RP forum for a number of years where I met some truly awesome people. Beyond that, I’m a major geek.I love video games and while I have a soft spot for RPG’s, I will never understand how StarCraft of all things managed to tell a better story through an RTS than most games ever will. Seriously. Kerrigan is my favorite thing ever. I like to craft and do leatherworking and various other things that catch my interest. Right now, it’s 3D printing, so I’m likely to be found swearing at my printer for some problem or another as I muddle through the technical world of “How the **** does this work”. I've also started to dabble in coding and electronics, so I may be typing in a haze of the dreaded "blue smoke". Fair warning, my job does require some travel time out of me, which means I can end up in BFE at a moment’s notice without an internet connection. I will do my best not to ghost on you, and give you some warning, but there are times when that gets left off the Things-to-do list as I’m frantically packing to catch my flight. If you don’t hear from me in a few days, give me a poke. There’s a good chance work just drug me off behind a frozen shed in Wisconsin or something. Unfortunately, our society demands I earn a living wage, so this tends to happen on occasion. But beyond all that, writing is, has been, and will continue to be my favorite pastime. I like to make stories fun and memorable, as well as do things that will give your heartstrings a couple of good hard yanks in the process. Here’s my current craving, but I’ll see about adding more if I don’t get any hits here!
You have been here before. It’s a crystalizing thought. A feeling of Déjà vu you can’t seem to shake off. The tavern is warm, bright and filled with happy, cheering people as you blink and look around. It’s the start of the Harvest Festival; a day of excitement and merriment. There will be drinking, prizes, and excitement. You weren’t planning to stay long, but this… this looked like fun. So why do you still taste ash and blood? Why does your heart beat like it's trying to claw free of your chest? There were others with you- that feeling of loss, the ache of failure and despair threaten to fill your lungs and take the space where air should be. There’s a roaring in your ears, drowning out the raucous tavern around you while the phantom pain of cleansing fire dances across your skin as the memory pulls further and further away to leave you standing alone in a sea of people. You try to recall where you’ve been. To remember something so very, very important before it slips away. But it’s like trying to catch air with your bare hands. You’ve been here before… so why are you here again?
That’s all for now, but if you’re interested, please send me a PM and we can talk more!
