Snowdin was just as frigid as Edinburgh Magicapolis, if not even more so without the benefit of public heaters and warmth conjuring magic circles. None of the cold got to the hunter at all though, between the thick material of his clothes and the latent anti-cold attributes that manifested just by him wearing it. From the way that most of the Seekers' cheeks flushed and puffs of breath formed in the air as they talked, a lot of them must have been feeling the chill. Hopefully by the time the afternoon rolled around the area would warm up a bit. After he'd made his request and been somewhat reassured by the others, as well as taken various other warnings and recommendations from said others into account, the Cadet was feeling eager to get started. And thankfully that was all he felt for the moment, even with a magic talisman hanging from his waist and a goddess's boon lodged in his chest. The group knew what to expect from each other, and if they worked together on this then with some luck, things would go smoothly - even with the inevitable road blocks sure to be along the way. So, when Sandalphon laid out what the team needed to get done, the Cadet didn't complain. He agreed with her - better to get started sooner rather than later, especially if they were going to establish a base camp of sorts to return to. "This'll be a good way to see the town too," he remarked, not that it looked like there was a lot to see. It seemed to be a small town, with neighborhoods on one side and a main street with goods and services on the other. Fairly cute place though, with the wood buildings and the colorful lights. It was a little hard to tell in the dark if there was anything else of interest in the immediate area, but once it brightened up maybe getting a higher vantage point from up on that little mountain would be a good idea. As for how the group was planning to split up, Ace could already tell that more than a couple of the crew wanted to get a bead on the Guardian as fast as possible. It wasn't like he wanted to drag his feet or anything, but he figured finding one guy somewhere in an entire region wasn't going to be quick. Better to be prepared for a longer haul, so on that note he volunteered to help with said preparation. "I'll get us some supplies," he told everyone with a smile. He tapped the small green light affixed to the breast of his coat, and then the light scattered as small firefly-like insects swiftly spread around each Seeker to ensure they had their scents before returning. They buzzed lightly around the cage afterward. "Food, gear, whatever else sprouts up... see if I can dig up anything else about that plant too." That plant being "mistletoe," the alleged weakness of the Guardian they were after. When Ace, Band, and Red got back after the confrontation with L and informed the Avenger crew on what they'd learned, inter-knot research had been carried out (by someone more familiar with the net than Ace). Apparently it could grow in many environments, but seemed more common in colder climates. If they couldn't buy some, maybe they could find it. "If it comes down to it, these guys-" he gestured to the scoutfly cage. "-will be able to point out anything useful in the wild." And as Geralt mentioned earlier, once they got a definitive trail for the Guardian Baldur, they could rely on the insects to lead them all right to him. But until then, it was regular old stocking up time. "After we all branch out, meet back up at that big tree in the center?" the Cadet suggested, as he'd yet to be linked up to Sandalphon's communication network. He gave the hound summoning a wide berth as Edward and Heismay got ready to look for some transportation, and after waving them off he called after them, "see if you can find any popos!" Despite the fact that most likely neither of them knew what a popo was. Regardless, he raised a hand to the other Seekers as he departed himself, towards the town proper and its shops.
