Much like Sectonia asked, Edward traded for his ring so Sectonia didn't have to worry too much about the cold. At least until she found a more permanent solution. Regardless, to help everyone else as people started to break off into pairs, she summoned her fire antlers to follow Edward, Roxas, and Celica. They'd offer an aura of warmth around them to help stave off the cold, although they were pretty slow. Alongside Geralt, Sectonia offered to look for information about the area, perhaps even some rumors on the guardian. She wasn't entirely confident she'd find anything about the latter... The people here were welcoming but probably unaware of what that thing was. So at first Sectonia decided to check out the mislabeled library. Maybe there were some things about the local area but after checking out a few books; having her ice antlers bring her books as she couldn't fit comfortably in the building before returning them; she found they weren't all that useful. Well, they WERE useful, but not for their current mission. She learned a lot about some of the various worlds that got fused, including one that verified one of the outlandish stories Bowser had been bragging about which more... spooked Sectonia more than anything. Defeating the Dark Star that could destroy the world and take over the galaxy? That felt more like a hero story than anything, but that did confirm one of his stories to a T and it was clear he didn't write it so... what else was true? hm... The second book was about some myth about an angel coming to save or destroy the underground. Considering they had already dealt with that 'angel', Sectonia only skimmed this book. She had absorbed that 'angel' after all, so she was living that legend. The third book she picked out was another vague mythological tale about 7 powerful emeralds that if brought together could change the universe and make thoughts real. Being as vague as the second book, Sectonia took it with a grain of salt but she figured that perhaps these were things to look out for. Wait, that being said, didn't she see one of those once? The final book she picked out was another legend, but much more detailed than the others almost like a midground between the first and second. It mentioned a hero of time clad in green that struck down the king of evil, born from the wrath of an ancient demon. Eventually that king rose again leading to the gods drowning the world. Considering the pictures in the book, that king looked like Ganondorf but different. Perhaps what Midna had been going about was true, but what she said was vastly different from what was in this book, and even different from how Ganondorf acted so... Were there multiple versions of him running around? If she had more time, she'd read more and more of these books. She had gained some interesting insights, but time wasn't on her side right now. Instead she decided to ask one of the two people that were outside in this cold. Seeing how one of them was at the edge of town, under a book, perhaps he had a lot of knowledge about the comings and goings of the area? While she didn't care for his looks, Sectonia knew a town of monsters wouldn't have many good lookers. Moving to the campfire at the edge of Snowdin, Sectonia went to get some information from Soulfisher. Upon reaching him and his book hut, Sectonia let out a cough, that cough that noble ladies knew how to do to get attention in order to wake him. Unfortunately, her exhalation seemed to brook no response. For the moment the strange fellow, with his tall pointed hat and skeletal blue face, remained as cold and lifeless as the dying embers of his campfire. Since his campfire seemed to be going out, Sectonia figured that, perhaps he'd react to her lighting it again? Using her fire breath, she spit a few fireballs at the campfire to relight it. The tinder caught fire readily, almost greedily, bursting into a bright, dancing flame. Its warmth radiated into the Soulfisher's body, and right away he raised his bowed head. "Uuuuuuooooogh...." he yawned, stretching creaky, spindly limbs. "Fire?" His voice was dry and aged, with a distinct southern twang. His empty sockets marveled at the little inferno by his feet. "Well, hey! I'd almost forgotten how it felt." Looking over at Sectonia, he seemed to read her at a glance, and tipped his hat in respect. "And salutations, good lady. Fancy meetin' someone like you here." While he looked a bit ghastly, he had proper manners so Sectonia would reply in kind. "Hello. I am new to town. I see that you live here outside town. Any particular reason for that?" "Oh, I don't live here, ma'am." The Soulfisher shook his head. "Matter of fact, I don't live much of anywhere. I just wander down the road from place to place, 'til my spark dies down and I put up my feet. Can't even rightly say where I'm headed. The Midnight Walk has a mind of its own, see. And a mind to teach its walkers a thing or two, to boot!" "Hm... I see. In your travels, have you run into anything noteworthy? Anything around town I should know about?" The wanderer glanced over at Snowdin. "Noteworthy? Of course. More than I could tell. But around here?" He scratched at his neck. "Warm beds. Hot cocoa. Open doors and hearts. Nothin' more and nothin' less. Simple and everyday things, but in a world like this? Worth more than gold." His gaze returned to Sectonia. "If you ain't from around here, I reckon you'll be movin' on soon too. Headed to Moon Mountain, where everyone's Midnight Walk does lead." He extended a bony arm. Miles and miles and miles away, in the northwest, a lone mountain loomed over the landscape. A splash of gray silhouetted its pointy peak against the night-dark sky, as well as the enormous, pitted sphere that floated, motionless, above it. It possessed an ominous, abnormal menace, even from such a great distance. "Some folks call it Dragonspine, mind you. Others, just 'the mountain'." The Soulfisher shrugged. "Course, not everyone walks the walk. And not everyone who walks it reaches the end. Nevertheless, there it is. Waitin'." His empty sockets blinked. "Waitin'..." "I see... What is waiting? a creature?" Sectonia asked. She also wouldn't be against hearing what other things he said. A traveler who makes it their mission to travel were often wellsprings of information. "Why, Moon Mountain itself!" The Soulfisher chuckled. "A sight like that...if that ain't an open invitation, I don't know what is!" He crossed his arms. "If you're curious what you'll find there, well. Sounds like you better start walkin'. Or...flappin', as it were." After breathing in, he extended his hands toward the fire. Evidently this wanderer was in no rush to move on. "If you have any other stories of what you've seen, feel free to share. I've got some time." "Hah! Better listen up then," the Soulfisher replied. He began to ramble, spinning a long yarn about various stories he'd seen and heard during his travels, from the tale of the Nobodies' schism after their conquest of the Molgrims to the tale of a giant craftsman who created his daughters from clay. His stories lacked connective fiber, or clues about the Seekers' mission, but if nothing else they were rather entertaining. Sectonia made sure to keep the campfire lit and warm as she gathered this information. Sure she knew some would be useless, others wouldn't be coherent, but much like the books, there would be nuggets of proper information within the rambling nonsense. Blazermate meanwhile went with to look for stuff for everyone. Although she was a bit without direction as outside of healing or fighting she really just went with the flow. As she lazily flew through the air, she saw an interesting thing, an abandoned manor up on the hill! That might have something! Although she'd need to find someone that'd be up to going up there with her as she wouldn't feel comfortable doing it alone. Maybe she could ask around and see which seeker would be up to going there with her?

Roland
Level 7 Roland (52/70) holding 1 level up Location: Field of Gold Word Count: Less than 750 Roland was indifferent to the hellpod drop. It was weird, but it wasn't unpleasant. Although his body shape was the prefect type for these pods, unlike say Band who just barely fit. They were dropped a bit away from their destination, so they had some time to go. Being a city person, such a wide area really wasn't something he was used to. It was... nice... though, all things considered. Roland didn't really do all that much but take a look around, following Nadia around as she seemed to know a bit more about what was going on maybe? That or she was just as lost as Roland was. Having a bit more trouble getting around the water than the girl with boat powers, Roland was a bit late at her idea of taking down a giant fish for food. Maybe it was for the best, they didn't' need his help and he got time to relax. Well, as relaxed as you can be trying to move around so many water features.
