Will update the actual image later; got those pupil dilating drops at the optician's what feels like ages ago by now, but for some reason my eyes still look like a cat's chasing a laser-pointer and I can't see the screen properly without a lot of straining lmao. But at least writing this real quick so we don't wait on me--
Though Haven is known for its history of deicide, not all who inhabit its borders shun the gods. Nestled in the mountains to the north, the Cloister of the Faithful houses a few hundred believers who have taken it upon themselves to live a life of seclusion and discipline in order to repent for the sins of their forefathers. What exactly goes down within the cloister's walls high up on the mountainside is unknown, though those who claim to have seen it themselves number in the dozens. Some call them a deranged cult, conducting all manner of horrors in their attempt to appease the gods, while some swear them to be a peaceful, quiet lot who offer aid to any who wander to their gates. There are rumours of them seeking to overthrow the current system of governance, to seek to resurrect Shun’Aush, to even be responsible for the Serpent's Sickness - and yet, there are also rumours to the contrary, spread by people who swear the monks cured their loved ones via magical means, even before the discovery of the red flowers. Whatever the truth, one thing is for certain; the monks are in possession of magic of some sort, as evidenced by the hood of stars that spreads out above their cloister at night, visible even from the ground.
