Injuries to Charlotte have never lasted long. She has never been sick for longer than a day. Her close family has also benefited from this. The unavoidable deaths in her family were due to accidents, or when Charlotte was not near enough to help. As she became older, this became more apparent. 

Can heal external and internal wounds, including fractured bones and deeper burns, disregarding severity.
Minorly damaged internal organs may be healed, but more severe damage may be beyond repair and may require a longer healing time.
Nerves may remain damaged.
Critical wounds, such as those resulting in the loss of limbs or damage to nerves, cannot be healed, but they can be closed.

Prior to her birth, Charlotte’s mother was a staunch supporter of the Queen. She served at court as a Lady of the Bedchamber to Charlotte, Princess Royal, eldest daughter of King George III. Lord George Waldegrave died on 22 October 1789.

Charlotte was born shortly after her father died, making her the youngest of six. In another world, maybe one without her innate healing abilities that made Charlotte an Enlightened, she would have died young. Her eldest brother drowned in 1794 after he had inherited the Earl title. The next eldest brother, John James Waldegrave, became the 6th Earl Waldegrave. The young Charlotte lived a comfortable life. John became an officer in the military and is rarely home. 

When it became apparent that Charlotte was Enlightened, he quickly sent her to St. Eustice's School. Charlotte has been attending the school since she was six. Her brother, John, is nervous about how to handle the situation with Charlotte. Unsure if he should hide her nature or allow her to be properly introduced into society. Many in their social circle aren’t even aware of Charlotte.
