For two years, we fought evil and kept the world safe. Then came our last foe, and the true reason we were formed was Hliex. An ancient evil that was long locked away deep in the earth, but had managed to break free. He sought nothing but to reconquer the planet and return it under his control. At first, we were doing well against Hliex and his minions. But as the fight against Hliex intensified, we started to show signs of fatigue. Still, we fought and during our final battle with Hliex, when the world needed us the most. We failed, and our leader, Danny McKnight, was killed by Hliex. Dying, not trying to save the world, but trying to save us. Needless to say, after the battle, we were fractured over the loss and badly injured. It seemed like the battle had broken us, and we were in no shape to fight Hliex. In the end, another group would rise to the occasion and defeat Hliex once and for all. Ending his reign of terror and saving the world from his tyranny. The Storm Sentries, they called themselves, and while they were raised as heroes. We Sentinels were forgotten and would disband, seeing how the world did not need us. That was five years ago, and now, out of the blue. We all got a message from our former Sentinel base about something very important, and we should return. Now I do not know what to expect, and if all of us will return to our old base to see what this message is about. But I would not expect what would happen next, and how, despite everything, we must become the Sentinels once again, and this time. There is no one else to stop the incoming threat, and we must take our place as the defenders of Earth once again. Rising to the challenge and saving Earth. Making people remember who we are and be proud to be a Sentinel once again. This time, maybe we can save the day and not fail like last time. Being the heroes we were meant to be and hold on and not falter. This is our second chance, our redemption. It is time to see how we Sentinels, still handle ourselves once again. [center]Rules: 1. Minimum of two paragraphs[/center] [center][b]Overview[/b][/center] Hello and welcome to the rp. I should say this first and despite the opening picture above. This rp is not a full-blown Power Rangers rp but a Power Rangers like rp. As in, while there will be similarities between this rp and Power Rangers. There will be differences that set it apart from Power Rangers. If you need an idea of what this rp is going to be like, picture it as a mature Power Rangers rp. But, with slice of life elements So if I still have your interest. In this rp, you will be playing as former Sentinels who, after disbanding five years ago. Have chosen to return to the old Sentinel base after getting a message from the base's AI, Ayx, that they have something very important and would only discuss it at the base. Which will cause the returning team to do something they would not expect to do. Become Sentinels once again and combat a new threat. Now, while most of the player characters should be returning Sentinels. One spot, the Red Sentinel, is reserved for a new member. This new member will be waiting at the Sentinel Base and will be the reason for the Sentinels' return. As they know information about the new threat, they will explain why it is up to the Sentinels to stop them. Now, due to this character being important for the first arc and why the Sentinels must return. I will be playing them to make it easier for me, unless I find someone else who can play the role as well. But, it does not mean that the new Red Sentinel is the new leader of the Sentinels just because they are playing the Red Sentinel. Anyone in the group can become the new leader, or maybe the group remains leaderless. It depends on how the group operates after reforming. Now, regarding the world, the rp is set in 2026. While the world is mostly the same, there are minor differences. The big one being the city that rp will be set in, which exists irl. It has been altered for the rp and will be explained below. [center][b]Sentinels[/b][/center] The Sentinels were formed seven years ago during the rise of the group's first foe. Lord Jokn, an evil being who at the time was an unknown ally of Hliex. When by chance, and needing a new group of heroes to stop Lord Jokn. Ayx encountered and later trusted the Sentinel morphers to people who would become the new Sentinels. Which one of them, [url=https://i.pinimg.com/474x/4d/a4/bf/4da4bf5d91b22256129afb461b74fc97.jpg]Danny McKnight[/url], was chosen to be their leader. They were given watches that acted as communicators to both Ayx and to the base and to other Sentinels. Making a beeping sound whenever someone wishes to contact them. Which would activate a holographic display if desired by the person they are speaking with. Though this only happens on a one-on-one call and not a group call. Along with being connected to the Sentinel base's teleportation network so they can freely teleport to the base and to anywhere in Astoria. Plus, they can tell time and act as a normal watch. Though mainly to hide what they really are. For two years, the Sentinels fought against several foes, and they would win in the end. But would fail to defeat Hliex. Danny was killed, sacrificing himself to save the rest of the Sentinels, and the remaining Sentinels were too badly injured to fight. Though the Sentinels disbanded five years ago, Ayx has been surprisingly active since then. Which, after learning of a young man and the danger he was in. She took him in, and after he explained what he knew. Ayx realized that the Sentinels were needed once again and sent out a message to the former Sentinels. Hoping they would return and take up arms against this new threat once again. [center][b]Base[/b][/center] The Sentinels' base is located near the city. In one of the mountains that lies on the Washington side of the Astoria–Megler Bridge. Which has a commanding overview of the Columbia River, Astoria, and the local area. While the main way to get there is teleportation. It is possible to trek to the base and enter via its main door. While hidden from outside eyes and sensors. It can be found if you know where to look. Inside lies all of the necessary equipment a Sentinel needs. A command room, training area, medbay, teleportation room, personal rooms, and a maintenance bay. With holographic technology, she can take the appearance of anyone if needed, but prefers to stay in her true robotic form when at the base. [center][b]Astoria[/b][/center] Astoria, Oregon, while a real place and a small town irl. In the rp, we will be playing in a fictional version of Astoria that has become a major city in the region. Expanding its territory and becoming a major port on the West Coast. Which serves as the home city for both the Sentinels and the Storm Sentries. They currently act more like partygoers than heroes, and with no major threats since Hliex. They have become less and less popular among the public.
