I also vote for The Noise. I really like the idea of Quiet as a concept though I don't think it met its full potential. It felt a little rushed near the end and I would've liked to see more of Momo before we're unceremoniously reminded of the passage of time. As a pet owner, I think a short story like that could really have been a bittersweet gut punch. It really just felt like it needed a little more time to bake in the oven, both with a bit more content and a little bit of editing (some grammar mistakes stood out to me here and there, but nothing egregious). The Noise is admittedly a bit wind-y for me in that the sentences are quite long and I tended to lose track a bit while reading it. The rest of it is pretty fun and quirky though! I like the bits of world-building we get as well as the personalities of both Stacy and Kate (though I did find it a bit interesting how Stacy and Kate are in a world with much more fantasy-coded names, haha). Great job to both writers!
