Her plate had a significant amount less than Elias’s, so it was no surprise she finished first. But that wasn’t to discredit him. Somehow the son of Zeus packed away mouthfuls of food like a bear bulking up for hibernation. She found herself watching him, almost like a scientist studying their subject, with shock and awe… and maybe a little disgust, but that was more because of his complete lack of table manners. She was honestly surprised some of the food projectiles didn’t end up hitting her. When the spectacle had worn off, Tappi let her gaze wander, taking in the rest of the party. She placed her elbows on the table and cupped her hands together to make a little shelf for her to rest her chin. There wasn’t a single face she recognized, not that she imagined there would be. If this was all the demigods in the world, it’d be pretty rare to encounter one before coming to camp. Although, she only found out about Apollo less than a week ago. So, how many other unclaimed children could there be? Especially when it came to the male Gods who didn’t have the burden of pregnancy. They could sire several kids in one day if they choose. She grimaced at the thought and tried to shake it from her head. That was the last thing she wanted to think about. With her gaze elsewhere, Tapeesa didn’t notice the other girl approach their table until she spoke up. "Is anyone sitting here?" She was petite, with warm caramel skin and dark umber hair that matched her eyes. Her smile was polite and maybe a bit forced, but there was a subtle warmth and sweetness. The short black dress clung to her frame, flattering her shape without sacrificing modesty. Subtle pops of white from the scallop edged white shirt and beret complimented her dark complexion and added a nice contrast. She had an approachable, girl nextdoor type of beauty that looked effortless. Tappi found herself staring, a bit jealous and wishing she was half as beautiful. Elias, on the other hand, seemed completely unaware that the person speaking to him was anything beyond human, let alone female and attractive. Tappi’s face fell into the palm of her hand as he greeted the girl with a mouth full of food and wide eyes. "Nope, go right ahead," he said, thankfully managing to swallow his bite rather than speak with a stuffed mouth. She peered out from behind her fingers in time to see Elias waving his fork, motioning for her to join the table. Her hand shot out between the dirty utensil and the girl just before a splatter of food juices slapped Tappi’s palm. She grimaced down at the gross slop spread across her hand. "Let’s not wave our forks around pretty girls in nice… clean clothes," she said as she stood up. "I’ll be right back," she excused herself in search of the napkins she should have grabbed the first time she realized she forgot them. Tappi was only gone for a moment or two, returning with a mountain of napkins… At least twenty, easily. She sat back down in her seat and snagged the first one before Elias’s messy hands fisted half of the stack and contaminated the rest. As she wiped her hand clean she was a little surprised that the living garbage disposal hadn’t tried flirting with their new company. He made a couple passing comments to her when she was in a parka… or looked like she had just climbed a mountain. This girl wore an outfit somewhere in the realm of casual but still showed thought and effort in how she put it together. Her hair had definitely been styled and Tapeesa saw hints of her subtle makeup, like the dark eyeliner and berry tint of her lips. She looked dressed for a party… And Elias barely spared her a glance. "Food situation here’s kind of impressive," the brunette commented before looking up at Tapeesa. "I almost committed a felony over one of these." "I’ve had like three," Tappi admitted, leaning forward to share her secret like it might have been against the rules to indulge so much. "While Elias has had… Well, everything," she added with a chuckle, watching the guy in question out of the corner of her eye still devouring every ounce of food on his plate. "I’m Tapeesa, by the way," she introduced herself with a smile. "I’d shake your hand but I don’t want to risk messing you up," She said, rubbing the bunched napkin into the palm of her once dirty hand as she motioned it towards the girl. While there had been upbeat, dance-worthy music playing since she arrived at camp, it seemed everyone was content eating, drinking, or mingling. But then, out of the corner of her eye, Tappi noticed a guy in a white blazer escorting a girl in an emerald dress to a clearing in the field. There didn’t appear to be any kind of dance floor. But the way the guy stopped in the middle of the open area and gave the girl a twirl said whether or not there was a dance floor, he was going to make one. Then, not long after, another girl in a black lace or embroidered type dress joined them. And even though she didn’t have a partner, the girl appeared to have no issues dancing around by herself. "I didn’t know there was dancing," she mused, with a new level of excitement at the prospect. Tapeesa had always enjoyed dancing, not that she had ever done it in a party setting or with people around her own age. It was always light and fun, bouncing and twirling around the house to Fleetwood Mac as her mom cooked dinner. Then there were the times when she was little and she stood on her Ataata’s feet. He would twirl her around the living room for hours during every song in her favorite Disney movies. Or, whenever the orphans were sad, seeing another family come and go with a younger child, she would take their hands in hers and spin around with them until their tears and frowns were replaced with giggles and gap tooth grins. Before she had fully noticed what she was doing, Tapeesa was pushing her chair out and standing up. "I’m going to go dance," she announced to the table. Her smile was bright and big enough it made the little divots of her dimples appear in the center of her cheeks. "You guys should come," she added, inviting the others to come with her. Either way, whether or not they decided to join her was up to them. Tapeesa was never someone who needed others to have fun. She bounced her way over to the clearing on beat with the rhythmic thumps of the bass. The last thing on her mind was how she looked or if anyone joined her. She twirled in a circle and put her arms up in the air. Her long black hair flowed and swirled around her with every spin and sway. There was no doubt it was going to be unbelievably knotted by the end of the night, but that was the farthest thing from her mind. All that mattered was the beat of the music, the sway of her hips, and the whimsical way her arms moved as she bounced around.

[sup] interactions ....|.... elias & anissa ............... mentions ....|.... daniel, rosalia & andy ............... collabs ....|.... none [/sup]
