I've never really understood the desire to not have someone play a connected character rather than have them as an NPC. Happy to discuss what eventual ideas I had for the unused Guardians (my plan was to likely have most of them show up as a bit of an antagonists to friends arc) but also all good with scrapping them if they didn't fit what you wanted to write.
