That's about all Scarlett carries around of her own accord. Brief Background: Second-born Princess of the Kingdom of Scientia to the north, Scarlettina Ishval - Scarlett for short - was born to Gren Ishval and Lady Lefay of the Myrkr as a Pherandel, the unity of a Human and the Elvin Faefolk. However, she was born under no moon at the stroke of midnight on All Hallow's Eve, and considered to be a cursed child. Such flights of fancy had no place in the cold, hard logic of the scientific kingdom, but the manifestation of the curse would take root, regardless of belief. As an infant, no more than eight days. Scarlett would be diagnosed with an irreparable blood disease that caused her blood cells to take on excessive amounts of iron, resulting in her blood being heavy and slow to move, reducing her to a wastrel in her community with a predicted, shortened lifespan... Condemned by the very nature of her kingdom, Scarlett would be raised as a commoner, in secret and silence, spoken of only in past tense. However, in a kingdom, gossip is part and parcel, and the smartest tend to be the nosiest, and rumor begets suspicion. By her tenth birthday, Scarlett would be uncovered, not by enemies or political rivals, but her own sister, Violettina “Violet” Ishval, First-born Princess, who suspected that her baby sister had been alive due in part to following hush money and research funds to the common folk. Realizing that her only rival was alive, Violet would arrange an assassination attempt, but a lush and lazy, the huntsman would be routed before his attempt was even attempted. Still, the damage was done, and matters had to be handled. Unable to do anything about Violet, Gren would call in a favor to one of his business partners, Donovan Krauser, to room and board his daughter, as his adopted daughter, and make whatever remained of her life as productively as possible, putting her through schooling, and an internship, if she made it that far. Fast-forward five years, and Scarlett can be found attending Morgenröte Finishing School for Girls as the loner, the loser, Queen of the Goths, having thrown away her love of the scientific for a spiteful passion for the occult. As the ringleader, Scarlett would found the A5 Coven, named as such all the members had the letter “A” as the last letter of their given names - creating a place for herself and four of her fellow “Witches”. For a time, things were good and the A5 Coven stood strong, as a diverse gang that controlled a good portion of the school. For Scarlett, it was the ultimate expression of rebellion, until they came across real, divine magic in the form of a transient artifact, a ouija board that spelled out a single name: V-I-D-I. And, an offer of power in exchange for her broken heart... Smash cut ten years later, and the former princess strolls the sandy dunes of Melchizedek, walking the streets of her hometown with a simple mission in mind. However, before she can greet her elder sister... duty calls, and pulled her attention to the siren call of her Benefactor and Recreator. Materializing, Scarlett has her service pledged to Arteus and Eon Tower as a Reaver. Revenge would have to wait... Extra Bits:

Scarlett’s personality tends to drift between hot and cold, but always slightly detached due to her partial lack of Humanity. Brief Background: The acuity of a Predator. The acumen of Prey. The danger of someone born to both. In Belua culture, the act of breeding across this line was taboo, more so than crossbreeding specieses. On the mist-shrouded continent of Yoake-Hau, the union of Predator and Prey would give birth to the physical embodiment of “a wolf in sheep's clothing” as Mochizuki Lupina came into the world with a hungry bleating and a mouth full of fangs, a newborn spirit of Harowin. And, she wasn't alone. Though created as twins, only one child would be born. The other, the first to be conceived, would not survive the strain of coming into existence, and would become a victim of Vanishing Twin Syndrome, folding into Lupina, and becoming her strength; awakening as a Guardian Spirit. Raised to the best of her parents' ability to shield her from the reality of a prejudiced world, both within and without, Lupina would grow up rather sheltered. However, even the strongest shelter was a simple, huff and puff away from being blown away. Protected, Lupina’s world would be shaken by the execution of her father, after the Wolf Belua was pushed to the edge, and demonstrated exactly how strong a Predator could be, when it was taken there. Unfortunately, mob rule tends to stand tallest in the smallest communities. Picking up the shambles of their lives, Lupina’s mother would take to a new life across the ocean, and settle in the outskirts of Morgenröte to live a nondescript life in real peace. However, Lupina had been broken, and awoken, by the first true act of violence against her, and seething hatred would brew within her. Flash-forward five years, and second-in-command of Morgenröte Finishing School for Girls - infamous - A5 Coven would be elected, due to her affiliation with the local gang, known for dealing the street drug ‘Slipstream’ as she was an street enforcer and pusher. However, a burgeoning connection with her Coven-mates would start to turn Lupina’s life around, causing her to seek escaping... but, blood was blood, in Belua culture, and a message was sent to Lupina by the hospitalization and coma of her mother. A warning. A mistake. In a rage, Lupina would accept the offer of the supposedly Divine Spirit that the A5 had summoned via a cursed ouija board. Her broken heart for the power to do what needed to be done. In her bloody path of destruction, Lupina and Baast would come across the man that would become their “Alpha”, a vagabond named Vagus, an old commander of the army Lupina would join to spite him. Ten years would pass after that chance meeting, and Mochizuki “Vagus” Lupina would be on patrol in the heart of the Republic of Altaria, as a detached envoy from Morgenröte’s Magus Association, with her brother in hand - turned from a Guardian Spirit with no form into a unique rifle that never left Lupina’s side. However, her marching orders were to change, as the siren call of her Mysterious Benefactor rang in her chest. Stepping out into the dark, Lupina would go AWOL, in the dead of night, and materialize within the confines of Eon Tower. Miasma Manipulation: Kalos can connect herself to another dimension from which Miasma, the planetary blight, originates, and manipulate it to cause controlled mutations to her body. Malfestation Resistance: Thanks to [Traven’s Eye], Kalos has more resistance to Miasma than most can dream of, allowing her to weaponize it. Explorers' Magic: A form of [Synergistic Magic] previously unknown to the Material Realm, utilizing Miasma as a resource. Unlike Scarlett and Lupina, Kalos's magic is simple and direct, and almost limitless in potential.

Saintess of the Sun: During the day, underneath the sun, Kalos can manipulate the beam into strength, increasing her physical attack and defense, and empowering her scythe, Dawn, with flaming attacks that can catch her foes on fire. However, this increase comes with a decrease in her speed, and limits her range to close-quarters-combat, and Kalos is only granted half of this power during overcast and rainy days. During a solar eclipse, Kalos is granted double this power, but it is completely nullified by a lunar eclipse.

Maiden of the Moon: During the night, underneath the moon, Kalos can manipulate moonbeams into speed and reach, increasing her movement and attack range, granting her scythe, Dusk, the power to sling arcs of frost and freeze over distance does. However, this comes with increased fragility and weakness, as Kalos is more specialized to attack at mid-to-long range, and her power increases with the phases of the moon, being at its zenith during a full moon and its weakness during the new moon.

Tyrant of Twilight: Unlike the longer and easier to maintain [Saintess of the Sun] and [Maiden of the Moon], this spell is only possible during the Twilight Hour, but combines Dawn and Dusk into its true form, Twilight, and makes Kalos into a near-prefect avatar of combat. Her only weakness: twilight is naturally fleeting.
Equipment: Kalos only carries her twin scythes, and travel necessities. Brief Background: The first bell tolled, and her shell broke. Small, almost imperceptible affair, as the hidden chamber was rife with blood and bodies; limbs torn away, stomach and chest gutted, forming a nest of viscera... A plaintive chirp escaped the halfbreed newborn, small lungs powerful enough to prove her existence, and seek out someone to feed her... unaware that the one she sought was dying beneath her, stomach exposed from the crude cesarean to extract the egg from her womb. Pitiful, she was, the attention she sought would be answered, as a hulking figure walked over - not stomping, not tromping, but striding like a beast half his size. He was covered in blood, soaking into selfsame hued scales, and adorned in leather armor that had seen wars and deaths more than anyone could fathom. The not-so-lumbering beasts would approach, and stoop down to set a wicked claw against her pale, squishy neck; her cry silenced, not out of fear, but primal recognition. What little girl would fear her father? “Steady on, wee bonnie lass...” His voice was deep, commanding, a roguish brogue stolen from another land, and made his own signature speaking pattern. His presence was demanding, imposing beyond the pale, yet he held himself as someone calm and calculating. He was everything her instincts wanted her to be... “Born under such auspicious circumstances. Seems that the Witch spoke true.” His claw would curl, inward, not upwards, and lift her chin to expose her inhuman eyes to his. “A child of mine, meaning more. How amusing...” Reaching down, the man-and-half-sized King of Reptile would reach behind the newborn, and pulled at her weak tail - the meat separating, defensively, painlessly, and unnoticed, as he stashed it in his satchel, before pulling out a hunk of dried and salted beef, and dropping in into his daughter's hand, before unceremoniously swaddling her in the overcoat of her dying mother. “You've done your part well, lass. I'll see to mine, and she, to hers.” Fifteen years later, and we come across Phillipa Kalos Hemos, ward of the state, headache-inducing adopted daughter of Marianne Fairmor Ixnil, laughing madly over the bloodies bodies of “Enemies of the Church”, twin scythes in hand, tail raised in defiance; the Menace of Morgenröte Finishing School for Girls and the Muscle of the A5 Coven mixing business with pleasure, and fitting herself for expulsion, if not for her connections. However, once graduated, Kalos would be sent deep into Ceigehn on “religious sabbatical” - a.k.a., being grounded as an religious adult, as far as Marianne was concerned. However, after ten years of isolation, Kalos would get the summon that she so patiently waited for, as her the siren call of the Unmentionable Goddess, and gleefully waited rematerialization within Eon Tower.
