It was ready to be opened by the time Ganondorf and Roxas had doubled back to the main room the door was located in. Being a big metal door, it was also quite heavy to move. It was fortunate then, that the Seekers had Ganondorf with them. Channeling strength from the Triforce of Power, the big man approached the heavy and pushed it fully open using his monstrous strength. Once it was, Ganondorf got a quick preview of what was waiting outside, notably the damaged bridge that was too narrow for their stagecoach to fit on. But that was a problem for a little later. For now, Ganondorf needed a moment to catch his breath after fighting that elephant carcass, still feeling the soreness of the damage he took. The Gravemind’s spirit in addition to one of the man’s other boons had already kicked in and was working to gradually heal him over time. But that meant he needed to settle down and give himself a breather. That was fine with him. It gave the warlord a chance to assess the spoils of the previous battle and choose what to do with it. So while Roxas had gone ahead outside through the big door, the Gerudo sat himself on the edge of the stagecoach. He extracted the spirit from the bottle it was kept in and considered his options. Ganondorf had not been particularly shy about fusing with spirits, even some of the more monstrous ones. But ever since the Gravemind had stripped him of the ability to rely on outside healing, Ganondorf found himself being a lot more picky about what to fuse with, not wanting any other crippling weaknesses to hold him. He also hadn’t been shy about turning spirits into Strikers either, but recent revelations about the effect strikers had on the host’s lifespan had made the concept much less appealing than it once was. That just left one option. Ganondorf reached for the Symbol of Avarice sitting nearby after Edward had used it, and put it on his head before his hands squeezed the spirit and crushed it down. Though capable of dealing quick pierce damage, it's primarily a status weapon that inflicts Decay, causing a DoT and durability damage. Its repeated use against enemy equipment can quickly degrade it, making it effective against enemies who rely on equipment. It scales with advance/arcane/luck, increasing the likelihood and severity of its Decay procs. The spear head and shaft can be separated and combined with other weapon parts by a professional
Ganondorf hefted the new spear in his hands with approval, ”Ah, yes, very good indeed.” He mused, admiring the spear’s crystalline blade head and its apparent ability to be disassembled and customized. The warlord suspected he would get much use out of this weapon indeed. And so he activated the portal system that Edward set up, which allowed him to store his previous trident in the Avenger’s armory so that Ganondorf could carry the new spear in its place. A solid upgrade if there ever was one. In the meantime, Roxas had gone ahead and stepped outside into the new area. He also took notice of the bridge but watched in awe as a quick spell from Sectonia appeared to solve the problem. ”Nice!” He complimented the queen bee, ”Hopefully that’s one problem solved.” Of course moments after this was when more mandrills threatened to attack. Roxas had brandished his Keyblades, ready for another fight. But to his surprise, Blazermate was able to use her big blood of undead body parts to quickly deal with the mandrills instead. He had to admit it he was a bit unsettled. But he also couldn’t complain if it meant one less battle to risk themselves in. He distantly registered the sound of Sectonia blasting open the staff office door and spotted what he thought was Geralt heading inside from the corner of his eye. ”Guess I’m taking it easy for a minute…” He said, finally dispelling his Keyblade giving his muscles a brief stretch. It wasn’t often he let himself take a minute to breathe. But here he was.
