Ember let out a theatrical sigh as she heard everyone make their points, not to mention almost swarming out of the Detention Club’s room as though they had nothing better to do than rush head-first into conflict. Then again, she should have followed them up instead of arguing with her team-mates like she was about to do.

It certainly risked Hotaru acting up with Hizuki again, but it was the choice she made between being buried under a pile of Miseria and attacking a light girl who did not deserve it.

At least both of them had a chance to intervene with the latter one. The former? The practice sessions were almost useless. The only thing they had helped with is that they would no longer be tripping over their own feet, which made them about as useful as a pair of soleless shoes.

Or in other words, it was the worst possible scenario for her. She could not exactly let it be known that she was incapable of defending herself.
