There had been enough time on the bus to figure out the basics and install a map app. Julia was glad that technology today was so intuitive. It helped that she was very intelligent and tech literate for her time. She used the remaining journey time to get a good look at Little Asia's current state. Businesses had changed names. Some had closed down. What used to be a cafe is now an apartment. What used to be a laundromat is now a cafe. She'd unfortunately have to search each one of these shops one by one. Or so she thought. The moment she got off the bus, the hairs on the back of her arms stood up. She could sense the conflict before she could even hear it. She began to first walk quickly, before breaking into a run. She followed her instincts and they led her straight to the Lucky Noodle. There was a fight going on.The Blue Dragons were involved. What was this? A protection racket gone wrong? Or something else? Julia was never an official member of the Blue Dragons. She did business with them once or twice but at that point in her career every major criminal worth a damn knew the Rat lived up to her name. She had no affiliation. No loyalty. One day she will sell you information. The next day she will sell you out. Too useful to ever make a permanent enemy out of but nobody's friend. She stepped through the doorway, folded her ams, and looked inside. There was a woman standing beside an older man who looked strangely familiar. She couldn't quite remember where she had seen him before, so she put a pin in that thought. The woman was young but still looked just a little too old to be a student. That left the one in the corner, with a visible bruise and a chair at her feet. And she could feel that unnatural chill again, coming from that direction. No doubt aboutit. That was her. Julia clicked her tongue. Children did not belong in the same world as this carnage. Julia was testament to that. Kids hanging around criminals either creates more criminals or creates dead kids. She was only standing to the side and she'd already gotten hurt. Not to mention that monster was looking for her with clearly less than savory designs in mind. "You must be Madalyne Crane," Julia began talking as she ignored everything else around her and began approaching Madalyne. "This doesn't seem to be a good atmosphere for a conversation, but I've been looking for you."
