Fortunately, a new development forced the “High Priestess” to stop her annoying ramble mid-syllable. Unfortunately, said development was an energy beam lancing towards Earthshaker from somewhere above the school building. Moving with lightning swiftness, Shuuko transformed and bodychecked the Rule Keeper out of the beam’s path, only to take the shot in her own shoulder, all while a wide-eyed Nyxia looked on. Yet it didn’t take long for the Neon Tempest to recover enough to voice her thoughts on these events. “Fucking moron…” she hissed through clenched teeth. While the attack had certainly been underhanded, Nyxia was positive Earthshaker could have not only easily withstood it, but also absorbed it to grant even more power to her impending strike. The same very obviously couldn’t be said for Shatterscape, and even if it was just another of the gauntleted girl’s expendable bodies that had nearly gotten its arm blown off, her rash actions had placed both herself and Roche badly out of position. Sure, the enraged Shatterscape was now launching herself at the pink-haired light girl as she and her parter zipped away on a flying shield, with an equally engaged Roche hard on their heels, but what was the point? Their foes were fleeing like the pathetic cowards they were, and thanks to Shuuko’s stupidity, Earthshaker had been deprived of her one chance to get a telling blow in. And now they wanted to chase these idiots across the city, when there were Miseria just waiting to be turned into paste? “Damn it to fucking hell…” With a powerful leap, Nyxia began following her two teammates, although she was careful to keep a fair distance back. These light girls had proven to be a sneaky pair, and she preferred not to rush headlong into another one of their annoying traps. Not only that, but as she bounded through the crisp autumn air, the Neon Tempest could sense the presence of another magical girl approaching, and an exceptionally strong one at that. She only hoped that, if and when they made their presence known, they’d be considerably less annoying than the pair being chased…
