Craving a story of a character who got lost in magic and ended up displaced in a different world, tried to roll with the punches, became a great hero, but then sunk down to the gutters of infamy because it didn't bring him back to his own world and now is on a dark path to near-madness. Story would start at the time he just got out of jail and is found in an inn, tavern, bar, or whatnot.
