The rest of his squads had been trampled and smashed, taking out most of his possible direct impact on the fight. That was what he got for relying on mass-produced T1 units, but at least he could be proud of the bomb idea. Still, Bronze golems would have been more effective. Possibly. Really given the sheer size of the thing perhaps cannons following the wagon at a distance would have been better. While part of his mind mused tactics as it always did, the majority was focused on the task at hand. Said task was keeping the stage coach moving forwards via tugging at the reins and shouting authoritatively at the Reindrix, demanding they stick together and not drag each other down in their individual haste to escape. As such, he only really clocked that people had been swallowed when informed Sandalphon reported they were still alive. ”Then be careful to not hit them with friendly fire when the beast bursts!” He called out in response to this news. Given the amount of fire that was about to fly in response to Sandalphon’s freeze power, that might be tricky. Or, worse, it might not be enough for that to be a concern. Whatever the case, Edward didn’t have any way to add to the imminent bombarding of the titanic beast. Technically it would have been optimal to stop, unload all of the Reindrix’s ice-power into the giant gator and then get moving again after, but in this state there would be no stopping their flight. Instead he focused on keeping that flight controlled while he cast Designate Target on the beast once more, using up the last of his free mana fuel cells. Stacking and refreshing the early debuff meant they now had 40% increased accuracy vs it (not that there was any real risk of missing the massive target) but more importantly the three seconds of 25% damage weakness would help boost the seeker’s opening volley’s effectiveness. The Reaver waited till that opening volley was through before throwing his Reaver striker at the foe, the oversized flying squid delivering a full body slam to the croc, not wanting its mass to block their best shots. As this occurred, Edward focused his actual attention on keeping them moving forwards, gaining good distance round the boardwalk as they did so. Just not quite enough. The oversized reptile hit the water, having survived the bombardment, splashed down, and then came right for them. ”I know!” Edward snapped back to Heismay's from the only way out he’d been heading for this whole time, the stress of the chase getting to him. He managed to rein in the desire to yell at him to get out of the way and instead called out ”Go! Make sure we’re not running into something worse!”
