It messed up a lot of his judgement especially because Maxwell couldn't ever let go of it and ended up obsessed with running every bit of his businesses- literally cannot delegate any of the financials to anyone else. Didn't work and Henry just couldn't step up to run the team, not when he was in the pilot's seat and had to try and manage him from lashing out on the team despite pulling funding year by year. Maxwell tried to fund it anyway and do it all but they didn't need the advertising given that was all the team was- plus with Henry's performances they weren't helping the brand and he was the boss's son, so nobody could speak out.
