	Shadow Blade - You weave together threads of shadow to create a sword of solidified gloom in your hand. If the weapon is thrown or dropped, it dissipates. If used in dim light or darkness, you have an advantage.
	Mirror - Three illusory duplicates of yourself appear in your space that can move with you and mimic your actions, shifting position so it’s impossible to track which image is real. A creature is unaffected by this spell if it has the Blinded condition, Blindsight, or Truesight.
	Moonbeam - A silvery beam of pale light shines down in a 5-foot-radius, 40-foot-high cylinder centered on a point within range, with the option to mean the beam up to 60-feet-high. Dim light fills the cylinder, and when a creature enters the spell’s area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it is engulfed in ghostly flames that cause searing pain.
	Ward of Darkness - Creates a solid barrier out of dark energy, wide enough to provide complete cover. It is strong enough to withstand multiple gunshots, but requires concentration and can be broken much more easily by magic that produces intense energy, such as intense light, fire or lightning.
	Spirit Guardians - Protective spirits flit around 15-feet from the user and can be used in combat for protection or for guidance.
	Darkvision - Grants perfect vision in all forms of darkness, including natural and magically induced, as clearly as they could under normal circumstances. Darkvision can be extended to 2 other people with concentration.

[hider=]Annika Hawthorne-Falling Star was reborn in the middle of a battle on All Hallow’s Eve in New York City. After bravely fighting Ananym and the evils of Limbo, Annika was reborn after handling Pandora’s Box and entrusted to the care of Jack Hawthorne and the Everdark.

Growing up with an eccentric shadow man and a world full of shadows had its challenges, but also its rewards. By the time Annika was 12, she had been all over the world(s) multiple times over. She learned the secrets of the Everdark and was an apt pupil. However, she and Jack continued their search in finding Annika’s people and her home. When she discovered that most of her people had been killed off in wars, the Sixties Scoop and Residential Schools, she became dedicated to learning all she could and committed to preserving her heritage.

A new source of magic came to her then, linking her to her ancestors and the powers they wielded in order to protect other Indigenous communities and vulnerable people. With her curious nature and passion for knowledge, Annika was quickly able to expand her shadow expertise from her adoptive father and develop ancestral magic to commune with nature and spirits.

But working with the shadows comes with a price. This was a fact her father taught her well on but it didn’t really hit her until she lost her father. Not even when she found a magical book in the dark recesses of her home in the Everdark that altered her path. Seeing her father disappear was something she could never prepare for. The Everdark always comes to collect, and it is a fear Annika has. She wants to learn other magic to expand her knowledge, and she wants to find a way to stabilize the magic she gets from the Everdark. 

Annika wants to make friends and hopes to form more relationships. Now that Jack is gone, she craves more human interaction. Her intelligence, creativity, and curiosity make her passionate in all areas of life and living.

	Magic Generation - The user can generate magic, acting as a source for the archaic energy and can even empower other magic-users. This ability is passive and can only enhance the abilities of one person at a time.
	Predator Instinct - The user possesses predatory instincts, allowing them to manipulate an elevated or dangerous situation, so it's the most optimal and favourable for them, without consciously thinking out a plan of action (passive trait). 
	Partial Transformation - The user can partially transform their body to more of a draconic feature, such as Claws, Tail, Fangs, Eyes, etc. But cannot have wings for flight.
	Dragonic Morphing - The user can transform into their specific dragon form. In Cal's case, it is a red-gold dragon (as pictured above), roughly the size of a coffee shop.
	Intellectual Fortress - Either you or one willing creature you can see within range has resistance to psychic damage, mental intrusion or mental attacks.
	Hunter’s Mark - You choose a creature you can see within eyesight and mystically mark it as your quarry, giving you an advantage to track and attack.
	Fireball - In his humanoid form, a bright streak flashes from his mouth to a point he chooses within range and then blossoms with a low roar into a fiery explosion.
	Hex - You place a curse on a creature’s ability of your choosing that you can see within range.
	Enhanced Healing - Users possess a enhanced level of regeneration; allowing them to rapidly recover from mild to moderate injuries, restoring them to their original state, with more severe injuries taking longer to regenerate, regardless of the extent of the damage.

	Connie - Cal and Connie bonded over flying. Of course, they aren’t the only ones in a school with magical kids to fly, but it did make it easier. Connie has been at the school the longest, so Cal went to her often to get information about the school and its inhabitants.

	Nicholas - Cal bonded with the twins right away. The speakeasy was one of their first introductions, and due to their mutual "interests," they quickly became acquainted. However, Cal gravitates towards conversation with Nick more and values their opinions on all subject matters.

	Barty - Despite his closeness to Nick, Cal still finds entertainment with Barty. Even if it is a little unconventional. Barty has a great way of making sure the dragon boi destresses and lives a little.

	Rohan - Callaghan started school around the same time Rohan did. Cal often keeps his distance from Rohan, more because he is half tree and Cal is half dragon. Fire and trees don’t mix well, although that doesn’t stop Callaghan from teasing and threatening Rohan with fire.

	Finley - Cal likes to talk to Finley. To learn of their history and what it is like to be Fae. Cal hopes to build relations with the Fae for his family, but it’s proving to be difficult. Callaghan is always down to get into trouble or push boundaries with Fin.

	Professor Mikkhal - After coming across each other while gathering knowledge at some such place, the two dragons bonded. Cal, being the younger of the two, looks up to Professor Mikkhal as a mentor and knowledge keeper. After meeting his family, it was at Professor Mikkhal's recommendation that Callaghan joined Strange Academy. The two continue to share knowledge and private lessons.

[hider=]Somewhere in the Caribbean, hiding from prying eyes, lives an ancient colony of dragons. Their biggest predator being humans who inhabit the islands around their invisible home. Of course, things don’t always remain secret when living among the supernatural. Callaghan was born during the Sun’s zenith over his home during a time of peace. The blinding light and instant warmth he experienced resonated with him and shaped the colour of his skin and his scales. From a young age, he learned to hunt and fly, using his dragonic skills to train and be an accomplished hunter for his family. However, he always remained curious and developed a hunger for knowledge. 

Pirates invaded Callaghan’s home island, searching for jewels and the glory of killing dragons. There were large casualties on both sides, and Callaghan’s family lost an entire generation of knowledge keepers, and Cal lost his father. The pain of loss made Callaghan suspicious and judgmental of new people and other cultures, even with his desire to know more. It also made him more of a hunter and a stronger defender of his home and vulnerable people.

Cal's mother's generation became the next set of knowledge keepers, ushering in a new age of curiosity and acceptance. Cal, along with two others, was the new generation that needed protecting. With Cal's desire to know more, his mother tasked him with the duty of gathering information on how to live with the humans of Earth and create alliances with other species. On his journey, Cal came across Mikkail, a professor at Strange Academy. This connection led to Cal enrolling in to Strange Academy.

Due to the secrecy of Cal's people, only Professor Mikkhal knows the true nature of Callaghan and his dragon. For all intents and purposes, Cal is a shapeshifter who favours the form of a red-gold dragon. Cal does not have a particular affiliation with jewels or shiny things, but instead covets knowledge. Something Strange Academy is not short on. Cal attends the academy to gain knowledge for his people and create connections that will ensure the longevity of his people by any means necessary.
