As he grew up, Shotaro discovered that he had a generous inheritance, not just from his parents, but also from his Grandfather, who had led a religious group high up in the mountains until he died in an accident, and whose followers felt that they had a stake in his custody as well. One of their 'priestesses' promised him that he could see his parents again if he joined them. If he became their 'Savior', he could receive supernatural powers that would allow him to speak with the dead. His neighbor decided to give him a change of scenery and invited him to move to Hiroshima to escape the hucksters and fraudsters who sought a figurehead to use. Shotaro agreed, but secretly kept in contact with the cult, reading all about their teachings and how he could get power through them. In the meantime, he had new friends, new classes, and new clubs, and he was happy again!
