A long time ago, there were 111 kingdoms and empires of great renown and majesty. From every sea to every peak, a crown controlled the land and waves. There wasn't a tree unmarked, a farm untilled, nor was there a land lawless; civilization had won the great race against nature. That is all history, though, as out of the 111, we know of only 1 to have survived the Downfall; or is it more accurate to say surviving!

In this roleplay, you take on the role of one of the nobles of an empire surrounded on all sides by an endless horse of decay and demons. This is an island of civilization in a tarnished world and your actions will determine if the final majesty, the empire of your liege, survives or falls. Every post you make will determine if a realm is lost or retained, if law is upheld or destroyed. Maybe the most brave of you might reclaim land, or perhaps doom their entire lineage to infamy trying.

Let me explain of this works:

If enough attention is garnished, I will create a map of various fiefs and players will choose a set amount. Some fiefs will be bordering the growing destruction of the demon horde, some will be closer to the central capital and thus 'peace'. You will create your mighty (or slimy) house and head it with a leader. Every so often an event will occur in a fief you control, be it a demon incursion, an economic trouble, or political strife sand so on. You MUST then write a post to deal with the issue. At the end of the post in a summary you will give a quick recap on what the issue is and how it is being dealt with. Once posted, the DM will (likely) deem the response sufficient and the crisis will be averted, unless of course, you wrote it not working in the post, and then oh no! The crisis grows!

If the post doesn't fix the issue or makes it worse purposefully, and claims that was the meta goal in the summary, then great, you'll be awarded a "V" point. If the post DOES fix the issue, you're still given a "V" point. If for whatever reason the DM deems that the fix was NOT sufficient or INSUFFICIENT the crisis is not averted and things worsen and you don't get a "V" point (thought you do get cool points for being badass and trying).

These "V" points are special in that if your post is deemed insufficient by the DM to avert the crisis, it can be vetoed as sufficient if half of the current active writing base chooses to spend a "V" point. Otherwise, "V" points are more for show than meta use.

Inactive players' lands will fall to the demons or be taken over by a logical active house.

That said, these 'mandatory' posts aren't the only reason to post! There will be machinations among the players, as each house leader harbors not only a public goal, but a private goal as well. After all, what better time to swipe the imperial crown than when everyone is looking outward? Or perhaps it is time to settle a generational beef with another house.

Let me know what you all think. If you like the idea, I can make a map and set up finer details!

This idea does sound interesting. I'm reminded a bit of the game Broken Chalice with the premise.

Yes! In a way! Sadly we would need quite a group to pull it off and so far it doesn't seem too plausible.

There's still some hope.

So would there be a chance then that I could be a caber knight?

Very creative. I'd be interested if you can build enough intrigue. Fingers crossed!
