It's funny I was talking to my brother about it earlier (well more he listened to me ramble bout it) and it sort of came out like, it's this mutli-dimensional energy source that allows the rangers to morph and it gives them knowledge. My thinking is that, it could also draw on powerful emotions (we've seen rangers get crazy strong in moments of intense emotions). Jade was under incredible duress and stress, so only the voice of something she truly cared about would actually center her. In my mind, it was like her last will and testament of Parker's consciousness before it likely faded completely into the morphing grid or heaven or whatever it was.

It was the kick in the ass she needed to be the badass she's always been.
