Felix was maybe the one person they wanted to talk to right now. Brendan waited as things continued on in a strange blur. They kept to themselves, all attempts to talk to others that they kept sort of starting to make just felt wrong and wierd. They paced awkwardly from one spot to the next. as Felix told them to avoid the area and that food would be brought to them.

In tv shows that was always what happened with dead bodies. Someone had to come outline it probably--wait, was this a crime scene? Was this a crime?

Brendan wanted to go find him, but if he was by the body, then Brendan going over there would be trespassing on a maybe crime scene. Maybe it was that you had to act like it was a crime scene until you knew it wasn't? That sounded right. Were they going to autopsy Renee? What determined if someone got an aut--Brendan felt dizzy again thinking about that stuff. Some part of them had the urge to go look for Renee. Not Renee's body, but the actual, living Renee, as if she was just hiding somewhere. Wait, wasn't that one guy a ghost finder or something? He probably had one of those squeegee boards. Was all that stuff even real? Could they talk to Renee's ghost? Could they just ask Renee what happened? Luigi boards were safe as as long as you didn't take your hands off the pratchett, right?
