It was clear the two had a serious conversation which needed to be discussed, the man clearly looking like he wanted her to leave but wasn’t willing to push it so now she was an unknown buffer for these two since Jade didn’t sound ready for whatever their private conversation would entail. How did she always end up in the unluckiest situations? She hadn’t even been here more than a handful of days and already in the midst of drama. At least it probably couldn’t get worse, right? Oh, how very wrong she was because it seems the universe had taken that thought as a challenge, screams filling the air as people rushed away. Aurora slowly turned around, eyes widening at the portal that was creating access for monsters she had never seen but were definitely familiar with when looking up the history to Angel Grove but she had thought that era was over now. [sub]”What in the freak show…”[/sub], Rory muttered quietly to herself before she quickly turned her attention back to the other two. However, she paused, her voice catching as concern flitted over her features at Jade’s labored breathing and haunted expression. It was clear she was having some kind of adverse reaction to these things‘ presence which made her thought of encouraging them all to leave impossible. Aurora stepped a bit closer, worried that the other woman might be having a full blown panic attack but as she reached out to help keep her stable and ground her back to the present or work through a breathing exercise, Jade seemed to relax a bit before giving a shake of her head and focusing back on the situation. "David! Just like how we used to do it." At least she had a name to go with the face of the man with them but her confusion was continually growing. Who on earth were these two? “Used to do it?”, she questioned more to herself than either of them which was probably for the best as Jade rushed forward to attack, clearly a skilled acrobatic fighter with a healthy fueling of anger behind those hits for some extra hmph. It was actually quite spectacular to watch but the comments made at the monsters were what was really intriguing. What had she meant by they had defeated them before and they would do it again? There were dots she wasn’t quite connecting here and ones she wasn't sure if she should. It wasn’t long before David was called into the fray by Jade to join in the fight and it seemed like he meant to answer the call if the ‘Just like the old days.’’ muttered under his breath was any indication. It was in that moment that she received her first true acknowledgement from David but only for it to be a command spoken for her safety before taking off to fight in a brawler like fashion and leaving her to play damsel in distress. ”To hell with that…”, Rory huffed while pulling off the strap of her camera from around her neck, shrugging off her backpack in a smooth motion before placing the expensive equipment inside. It was placed on the forest floor before she rolled up her sleeves, getting prepared for a fight. It had been awhile since she had gotten into a scuffle and knowing she didn’t have to hold back was almost a thrilling thought. She sprinted forward at full speed, leaping up to roughly slam her fist into the robotic foot soldier's face but gave it no grace period to fully react because she locked her hands together to add more supported force to her elbow to jab into its gut to force a bend. Rory took the opportunity to sweep out its feet from under it, stomping down as it hit the ground before looking over at the other two with a bright grin. ”You guys didn’t think I would let you have all the fun, did you?”, she teased playfully, skipping backwards to avoid a weaponed attack against her.
