Metal screeched and plates buckled as the bulky form of her armor hit the pavement. Parts tore themselves free, other components were crushed out of existence, the lonely girl's barrier against the rest of the world spraying out in all directions in jagged steel and torn wiring. Another spike of all the previous emotions when she was airborne again, the inside of her visor displaying a cascade of warnings she was too bewildered to read. It took a fair amount of focus to wind up her thrusters like this. For lack of a better term, it wasn't very natural. Her spirit, and thus her magic, longed to be free to soar through the skies. With that focus broken, and the armor now letting its mechanical guts fly around the street, the energy had to go somewhere. What remained of the oversized jets on her legs ripped themselves apart in staccato, energy rushing irregularly and uncontrollably out wherever it found - or made - a path. Yet another blast of shrapnel ripped into the pavement as the detonation flung Hizuki forward - or up, or left, she couldn't tell - straight toward a wall. She barely had an instant to feel the sting of failure and betrayal both before the unforgiving concrete rushed up to meet her.
