I want to get back into RPing, but I am also aware that I sometimes get caught up with real life and am away from the site for stretches of time. So I had the idea for a larger RP set within a magical town, where people play the various residents and the different stories within the town can move forward even without my direct involvement, and then I can drop in and out when I can. The idea would be sort of like a Stardew Valley/Fields of Mistria/Palia type thing, but where people can play whoever they want within the town. I would play a few characters, such as the mayor of Pixiewick, and also create a handful of community NPCs to fill any roles not covered by you guys. Those NPCs would be merchants and would basically be free use for anyone to control while their characters are interacting with those NPCs. Pixiewick is a small town that sits in Mithril Valley, which is a magically-concealed space within the Cascade Mountains of Oregon in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. The Valley was named such because it contains a huge underground network of mithril mines, but they have been mostly dried up for decades. Pixiewick is the only community within the Valley that endured until the current date. The town sits at the south end of the Valley, near the Unicorn River, which runs south from Mythwater Lake at the north end of the Valley. Surrounding the lake is the Feywood Forest, filled with many types of magical flora and fauna. At the north end of the lake is Mythwater Falls, where water feeds into the lake from a series of holes in the side of Dragonroost Mountain. This is where several underground rivers collide and exit out of the mountain and falls to the lake below. If there is sufficient interest, I will develop the town and the surrounding area further.
