Fujiwara no Mokou
Level 6 51/60 EXP Location: Frozen Highlands - Krat Zoo Wordcount: 388 (+1) As the stagecoach continued on its way, Mokou actually found time to close her eyes and nap. Something she technically didn’t have to do, but it helped pass the time and, sometimes, felt like she was normal again and not just imitating human behavior. But, as with all things, a good nap had to end eventually as Mokou heard some commotion outside the walls of the stagecoach, eliciting a heavy sigh from the white haired girl as she pushed herself off of her seat and out into the cold air once more. The sight that awaited her outside was… Odd, but one that only got a slight eyebrow raise. A line of various balloons moving with purpose along a path… Which was currently being defended by a group of monkeys with various gadgets. It was certainly a sight, albeit one that seemed more like a hassle than anything that would interest her. “Ugh… Pain that they’re not keen on letting us pass” Mokou comments upon seeing the inferno hounds return, rubbing the back of her head, “Doubtful that they’d be keen on chatting with us either. I think I’ll take up a vantage point up above, if they try anything funny I’ll see it” Mokou states, kicking her foot idly, “That, or burn some of their fortifications to make them move.” Without waiting for any input on her plan, a pair of fiery wings emerged from her back, the Phoenix launching herself into the sky within moments. Yet when she got high enough, she simply floated there, hands in her pockets as she scanned the pathway and what lay beyond. If she squinted, she could certainly see a village in the distance, though she couldn’t make out any shapes to say if this belonged to these monkeys or not. Mokou would assume a ‘yes’ on that question, seeing as the monkeys had to be guarding something of value to themselves, but she had learned not to plan for assumptions. Regardless, even if the monkeys did attack the stagecoach, it would be a while before they got into range of it, thanks to them making their own path. So Mokou decided to scout ahead, lazily floating forward over the monkey’s defenses. From this height, she wasn’t worried about them firing at her: All it would be is a waste of ammunition for them.
