Had some time to work on my sheet and I had two character-related questions that I thought I should ask before continuing on the sheet:

1: Is it okay if I have my character be related to a family of superheroes? This is more meant as a character background and backstory thing rather than something that would interfere with the crime-fighting plots. (Outside of times when we'd agree that it'd be fitting/fun to bring in.) [s]Figured I'd stress that this isn't meant as a way to break the power cap or anything, lol.[/s] All good if you'd rather not though, I can change the backstory to something else without breaking the idea for the character if need-be.

2: Is this power and weakness combination okay or should I come up with something else? I'm also gonna add in a secondary power, but it'll be a skill along the lines of "This guy is pretty good with people and talking to people" rather than an actual superpower.

[i]Primary Power:[/i] Escalating Cryokinesis: A form of cold/ice generation and manipulation that increases in power and control within lower temperatures and with the presence of ice & snow. On an average summer's day, Alain could only generate a small nigh-harmless puff of snow and lower the temperature of the nearby area by a few degrees; however the presence of that lower temperature and generated snow would allow him to perform a stronger use of his ice powers, which would further cool the area, and so on and so forth. Due to logistical, collateral damage and practical concerns, an upper limit to his growth has not been tested; however it is theorized that it could involve physiological changes and allow access to thematic secondary powers.

[i]Weakness:[/i] As mentioned, it takes time and good conditions for Alain's powers to do much of anything; let alone grow to his potentially monstrous heights. Attacking him fast and hard before he has the time to scale up will leave him in a mostly-defenseless position. Plus, the warmer the area he is fighting is, the more he'll need to build up before being capable of doing anything. Additionally, any way to generate heat could be used to slow, stall, or possibly even revert the growth of his winter storm. (examples of this include; the use of a flamethrower, fire powers or a large combustion engine of some kind of giant car.)
Lastly, Alain is also more vulnerable to heat than the average person. While he can attempt to mitigate this with his ice powers, it remains a fairly notable weakness that can get in the way of his day-to-day activities.
