At a weight of 130lbs (58.97kg), her build is reasonably fit with respect to most things that would involve footwork. Her core is well developed, though not to the point of the enviable six pack; her legs are easily her strongest muscle group both visibly and functionally, being predominantly lean muscle. She has dark brown hair that she prefers to keep just a touch untamed when she grows it out. Her eyes, as well, are a dark brown with a wild yet warm gaze. Cait’s stylistic preference is a skater-inspired and utilitarian blend. She rarely adorns herself with accessories, and keeps them minimal when she does; a hat or bandana gets the job done just enough. Her pants selection consists first and foremost of whatever is flexible enough for her to move in but rugged enough to take a beating, usually amounting to jeans and sometimes cargo pants or shorts. She can also be seen at times sporting athletic wear. Upperwear ranges from plain tee shirts, to skate or band branded merch and punk-coded graphics, to flannels, and hoodies. For a more “going out” look she will sport a leather coat, with or without a fleece liner, and always with a hood. Footwear consists of either Vans Old Skool or just about anything from Converse. She has a layer of toughness mixed with a funloving and adventure-seeking drive that can, and often does, lead to at least a bit of trouble; crass attitudes and foul language are a given, though the latter usually with context. To keep up with so much energy, she’s grown into a quick-footed, sharp-witted person, if a bit lacking in book smarts or other traditional manners of intelligence. A thrillseeker and a risk taker, she lusts after the next high she can find, whether that be a ledge vault, a wall to scale, a rail to grind, or a set of stairs to leap over… or a more potent strain of marijuana. She often comes across as the “cool” person, exuding an outward expression of being unbothered or unburdened by the pressures of life and society, and perhaps even indifferent towards the situations she winds up in when an exploit or excursion goes wrong. She doesn’t, despite her present circumstance, hold her own sense of community, and while she takes her own ramifications in stride, she typically leans away from leading anyone unwillingly or unwittingly down that path, especially if they are within any of her more immediate circles. Seemingly uninvolved in common drama, she can be a decent pair of ears to vent to, as she’s not likely to spill anyone’s secrets.
Goals and aspirations
Skating is Cait’s foremost passion. While she may dabble and experiment in other outlets, she always finds her way back onto a board and popping tricks. Her singular ambition is to break out onto the pro skating scene.
CV
Traditional employment was never in the picture for Cait. Following her mandatory schooling, she floated from one job to the next, usually in retail and custodial settings. In between work hours, and sometimes in lieu of them, she frequented the amateur skate scene through local competitions; usually she’d walk away with a pocket of prize money.
Crime
One evening, after dark, Cait and her skate crew got the bright idea to roll through the Royal Parks. They managed to get over the gates into Regent’s Park, and proceeded to cause the kind of ruckus that only adventurous skater-types could. The group was caught while tricking off of the Matilda Fountain, and promptly scattered. After a brief chase, a constable managed to catch a fleeing Cait and detain her while “impounding” her favorite skateboard.
Background
Caitlin was born a far cry across the pond in Seattle, Washington. Her mother was an American Citizen while her father held citizenship within the UK and the United States. She spent the early part of her life living in the Pacific Northwest. However, her parents decided to relocate to London when she was five; the idea being to put them closer to her paternal relatives, which was more robust and with more resources to support and indulge the fledgling family. Cait would commence to grow up amid her father’s side of the family. They were large in number, lively in spirit, and just plain “motherf***ers.” It was fun, and at times reckless growing up with cousins, and a few younger aunts and uncles. It would be through an elder second cousin that Cait’s interest and love of skating would manifest, watching footage of English skaters such as Geoff Rowley, who would influence her daring and guts to take on obstacles and navigate the urban terrain. Coming into her years at school, it was apparent that Cait wasn’t as lockstep with the idea of a formal education. Deemed an ‘intelligent but unfocused’ student, classrooms and lecture halls were far from her favorite places, and she could never quite buckled down and complete book work and written assignments; tutors were hired to aid her through engaging her in more interactive and hands-on learning experiences. As she grew older into more advanced education, truancy would rear up as an issue; Cait would frequently cut class either to find nearby spots to practice her skating, or to, on occasion, indulge in smoking weed. Through this experience, she picked up a healthy knack for parkour and learned her way around the city; important skills for dodging teachers and other authority figures. Despite her misbehavior and a few misdemeanors, Cait completed her mandatory education. She spent a lot of time job hopping, insisting, to her parent’s chagrin, on not going to University. She was confident that she could, somehow, someway, break onto the skating scene in a big way. Her family has thus far supported this dream as best they can. But her most recent rub with the law has left them unable to do much more than pressure her to follow the system and make amends for her misdeeds..
Power
Telekinesis. Cait longed to defy the forces of physics associated with gravity. Thus, it was only appropriate that the storm left her with the ability to do so. Cait has been gifted with Telekinetic powers, enabling her to move, lift, throw, and broadly manipulate matter on an object level. Her favorite target for such activities: herself.
Skills & Abilities
Cait’s primary skillset is her nimbleness and athleticism. She has been an avid runner, and went as far as to add freerunning and parkour to her repertoire. In addition, as an avid and competent skater, she boasts excellent balance and fluidity of movement while also maintaining a strong sense of her surroundings. She’s an adept urban explorer, sleuthing out spots around the city and has an uncanny ability to learn and find her way around. She might pride herself as being street smart, though whether or not she’s any more so than the majority of people us up for debate… she does, however, tend to be a “person who knows a person…”
