So if you spill standard issue human blood then there are a whole set of things that happen, and a whole set of different things that happen if it lands in nutrient sludge. It looks like the subject's blood is forming this strange condensed clot pattern wherever it hits the nutrient sludge. It's doing something similar where it's hit the wall but way slower scale.
