The vampire stood up stiffly, gone from fully asleep to fully awake in less time than it took one to draw breath. Or so he assumed, anyhow; he had little experience when it came to breaths or their intervals. As the Vampire took in his surroundings, he was pleasantly surprised to find he had not been thrown to some dusty old cell at the very least. No, the furnishings were... while not quite to his taste, lavish enough to do for a single night's stay. A quick walk around the room, and Cedess had picked up some of his belongings — though irritably, not all. He did travel with very little on him, but that hardly meant that his belongings were up for grabs! For one, though his ornate sword, which he could not find now, was more for decoration than utility, it was a valuable thing and not to be touched by unwashed criminal hands. Ugh. Naturally, then, someone would need to lose their head over this. And Cedess had an idea as to who. This, he thought as he adjusted his holy symbol, tucked deep within the confines of his armour, had to be it. How... unexpected and utterly intolerable that they had found him before he'd found them. It was a slight that — among all the others he'd suffered so far today — would eventually be returned tenfold. But first, a stroll. ⚰️ Upon reaching what appeared to be a banquet, Cedess quickly realized he was not alone, and neither was his captor. As the man in a rather gaudy mask of a fox — such a mangy creature to have chosen as representation, truly — was explaining their predicament to the other guests, Cedess was busy trying to find familiar features amongst the other masked people present. Be that the questions of some of the other guests threatened to ruin his concentration. The culprits, Cedess noted as he spared them a sideways glance, were what appeared to be an all but feral, rabid-looking goblin standing by the door, and a girl who might've just as well crawled straight out of the depths of an ocean, clueless as to where she was. A... fish out of water, as it were. With a scoff, Cedess turned away from them both. Before continuing his search however, he directed his scowl towards the servants scurrying about. He did have one question himself, come to think of it. "You did say your servants would bring us whatever food or drink we desired, did you not? An offer I'm afraid I must take you up on — after all, I couldn't help but notice a certain... lack in your selection." He made impatient gestures with a hand in the general direction of the servants, "Well, what are you waiting for? Do remedy that, and be quick about it, cretins."
